06|24|2018 The 1st time I heard about Flight Nursing was when we took a trip to Stanford & met their flight nurses during nursing school! 👩🏽⚕️ (I’ve included pic from that day at very end. 👉) Talk about a powerful, autonomous, and intelligent 🤓 group of people!! 😱😱 They put in their years of work in ICU / ER to get here. On 06|19, I saw my own hospital’s helipad! Seriously, a massive recharging moment and a humbling reminder to KEEP PUSHING, working hard to get to my dreams!
Thanks @kalossam for giving me some new exercises to try for my pull up training. I’ve been incorporating them into my routine to build up my upper body strength. These body rows with feet on a box are tough. I’ve been trying to focus on taking it slow and holding the position at the top of the row rather than how many reps I can do. So being the injury prone person i am- i have taken 2 steps back. Baby steps back to recovery to become even stronger 💪🏽 My rehab routine due to weak glutes, weak left side, and to top it off- over worked hip flexors: - Hip Thrusters: 4 x 12-15 @ 95 hold at the top for 3 seconds. - Box squats: 3 x 12 @ 95 ; 1 x 10 @ 115
- Squats: 3 x 10 @ 135; 1 x8 @135 (ded) - Bulgarian Split Squats (smith machines): 4 x 12 w/ 25s on each side - Single leg DL: 3 x 12 w/ 15 lb db - Single leg hamstring curls with ball: 3 x 12
- Superset with curtesy lunges: 3 x 20 #l
- Clams: 2 x 20 💀 each side .
To all the step moms out there, you aren’t alone. No one ever speaks about it but it’s time someone did. Being a step mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life, truth be told. I didn’t know it would be until I experienced it for myself. No one thinks to appreciate us for what we sacrifice for a child that isn’t biological ours. It takes a very strong willed person to step up and be a parent to a child that’s not theirs. It takes sacrifice, strength, a big heart & a whole lot of love. Yet we don’t ever get recognized for any of it. We get none of the credit and all of the blame. People may think our jobs as step parents may be easy like it’s supposed to come naturally to us or raise us to their expectations when in reality, that’s not the case at all. Spinach & Egg Omelette (to-go) 😉 easy to put in a Tupperware and take to work!
2 eggs, 2 egg whites, ..1/2 C baby spinach
Warm spinach in pan for about one minute on med heat, or until it gets darker and begins to shrink. Pour eggs and egg whites over the top. Let cook for about 2-3 minutes on low-med heat, or until the top side looks nearly cooked but the bottom is not burning. Flip, and cook for about 1 more minute. .

At a hotel that has minimal gym equipment?!? No problem you can still get a super good sweat on with this quick simple workout:
💥Warm up: On the treadmill or outside walking for 10 min (or go up and down the hotel stairs a few times)
Every exercise do 3 to 4 sets with 15-20 reps...
💥Squat jumps 💥Jump lunges 💥Squats with a dumbbell (or air squats if there is no dumbbell) -I use a bench to help que me to sit back further to target my glutes and focus on keeping my weight in my heels
💥Split squats (use any elevated surface and make sure that your knee isn't going over your toes) 💥 End with band walks if you have a band with you. I highly recommend buying a pack of resistance bands that you can bring with you on trips. They pack easily and provide a great workout or something a little extra to your workout. *also I apologize for not having video of every exercise 😬*
Me a few weeks ago and me today ..... 🙈 I was really close to death , but didn't realized that. I was so much fucking cruel to my body...😣
My doctors told me if I wouldnt start to eat, I would die cause my heart or my kidney would give up at one night.
But I couldn't get that in my fucking head.
Still can not believe how I could recover from that point. It seemed to be impossible for me to gain some weight. But I've already made a big milestone. 💪7 hard earned kilos !!!! When my weight was totally down, I wanted nobody to hear it. I did not want my mother to suffer that way. 😢 I just did not want to admit it myself and completely isolated myself. Fortunately, the feeding tube helped me quickly and after a week of probe feeding I packed all the rest by myself. I ate a lot the last weeks. I am proud. Because just a few weeks ago, my doctor looked me in the eye and said to me: Now you have to decide between death and life. 😐😐😐What can I say? I have decided for life, I am so grateful and just sucking life like that I can not say how grateful I am for my second chance
Yes.. but for now... I feel like a hugh elephant , so damn faaaat and I just want to go in a potato sack ... But that's okay for the moment and I'm going to adapt to the new body. That was a tough fight so far .. but yeahhh...
