Hoy fue mi primer carrera larga, fueron 4k, hice casi 4 minutos más de lo que tengo planeado para el entrenamiento 😥 porque para la carrera tengo que ser más rápida, en la foto de la derecha se ve como terminé 😂 es la cara de alguien que está cansada, no ha podido dormir bien y que ya se le están formando ojeras 🤦 pero así es esto de ser mamá 🤷. Donde entreno tampoco me ayuda porque solo doy vueltas y eso no me ayuda a tener más velocidad pero lo veo como algo positivo, ya que si el circuito de esta carrera es como la del año pasado, es en línea recta hasta los 2.5k y de regreso, así que espero que estos obstáculos me ayuden con mi objetivo. Hoy solo haré esto, reitero, me siento cansada 😒 las carreras de velocidad de ayer me cansaron más de lo que creí, ya mañana será otro día. #mompower

I am great at motivation and always have been (life long cheerleader here 😄)....soooo so good at getting motivated to start something. What I did NOT have was the discipline to follow through and finish what I started more times than I’d like to admit.

Yesterday while on the phone with a potential client, I was asked what one major change I’ve seen in myself since starting these fitness programs almost 5 years ago, and without hesitation, I said, “I can now honestly say that I have real discipline.”

You see, motivation will not show up for you every day...motivation is fleeting and you can’t depend on it for long term goals and success. Discipline...the action of doing the things even when you really really don’t want to, is what will move you forward. Like today for example...I’m battling a change of season cold and I don’t feel amazing...but I chose to get it done anyway and now I feel so much better.

This mindset shift happened when I finally decided to hold myself accountable with my boot campers...to show up every day for my health wayyyy after the motivation of something new and exciting wore off.

After Halloween (and after allll the candy 😂🍫), I am SO excited to kick off my new Mindset Makeover Boot Camp. We will has daily workouts, a detailed nutrition plan, accountability from me, community to keep you on track, and the tools for a mindset shift so you too can create the habit of discipline. 1 year ago today I was cleared and started my new journey post emergency appendectomy surgery.  I was also 1 year postpartum. I can’t even believe the changes that have happened in the last year. Both mentally and physically. I keep thinking “there’s no way I looked like that?!?” But I did. And it wasn’t from having a baby. It was from me not moving my body and eating whatever I wanted. 
Believe it or not I’m only down 9 pounds from the picture on the left. 9 pounds. But the big change is how many inches I lost. 24 inches across my body! all from at home workouts!!! This is truly an amazing transformation. And I still have a ways to go but I’m on my way! 👉🏻 Remember the scale is only a small indicator of your journey. I lost tons of body fat and replaced it with lean strong muscle! Now combining that with my nutrition changes and I’m going to end this year so strong and even closer to my goals! Don’t get frustrated by the scales guys. I get it. I would love for the scale to be down 24 pounds but it’s not. But I reduced the fat on my body. I made huge change! The weight will come off. I Just have to be patient.

▪I was craving pancakes this morning, so I tapped into my recipes and found I had written down the #fixate banana oat pancake recipe. So quick, delicious and easy clean up to boot! 🙌😻

▪They're made in the blender, so just rinse that puppy out and you can still enjoy these while they're hot! 💕

▪I topped it with the fruit compote I made a few days ago (no added sugar, just fruit and berries!) And Greek yogurt! No syrup, they don't need it!🍓

Whole Wheat Tortilla, Turkey Bacon, Chicken, Spinach, Tomato, and Laughing Cow Cheese.

Don’t freak out... this might be more accessible than you think! Super Soldier was a huge WTF for me for the longest time - how do you even get INTO that?! Once I started thinking of this as a variation of a standing split, it started making more sense (think of it as a standing split with your shoulder tucked under the standing leg). Then top leg bends with foot aiming for your 🍑 as you reach up for the top foot with your tucked arm.  Play with it and see what happens... you might fall but you might also surprise yourself! 😍😍

LIIFT4 Shoulders LIIFT Intervals✔ My shoulders are burnin🔥! Even my 3 pound weights got to heavy at the end, so I dropped them and just went with arm weight 1/2 way through the second set  of the last round so I could finish strong with good form! Tomorrow's Leg Day will complete week 6! This program seems to just be flying by! But honestly it has an amazing schedule, only 4 days a week, I got the weekends off and that worked perfect bc my youngest had football games on Saturday mornings and I didn't have to stress getting up extra early on the weeked to get my workout done before we had to leave for his games🙂

I decided to redo some pictures from my before pregnancy shape every  week as I’m getting further in my third trimester so it will be easier to compare when I’m in the same clothes and in the same posture. I decided to redo some pictures from my before pregnancy shape every week as I’m getting further in my third trimester so it will be easier to compare when I’m in the same clothes and in the same posture. I think 110lbs which is about 50 kilograms was my perfect weight and I’m dreaming and praying to go back to it after I will deliver my precious #LittlePrinceErvinJoseph2 👑 🙏🏾🙌🏻 what do you guys think 🤔 do you believe I can do this ? Here's the funny thing! This was supposed to be a motivational fitness post. I was searching through fitness quotes and this jumped out at me, but while I was creating an image to go with it I started thinking about my parenting journey and how true this is for that journey as well. 
I actually loved the early days of parenting like the one pictured here! We never had the terrible twos or threes. We struggled more in years 6-10. Those years were hard, but they made me SO strong! I love being a mom! It's honestly the best thing I've EVER done in my entire life! And it has also pushed and challenged me more than anything in my life. 
My son is now almost 14, which blows my mind! I am loving the person he has become and is still becoming! We still have challenges (and I'm sure there will be more hard times), but all the knowledge and strength I've gained in the past 13+ years has made me so much stronger and ready to come through those challenges better than ever. (Don't get me wrong, there are still days when I cry, yell, or loose my mind!!) My saviors during these times have been books by Dan Siegel, wise wisdom from those who did it before me, and belief in the strength of my bond with my kiddo! What tools have you used to get through those challenging parenting phases? .

When’s the last time you asked yourself that question after complaining about the same thing for the umpteenth time? If you hate your body or are unhappy with your weight that’s a temporary problem that YOU have control over. It doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of time you have {or say you don’t have}, it’s not about how much more expensive it is to eat healthy or the fact that you have kids and they require all of your attention. Those are just excuses you keep telling yourself and in the end YOUR problem continues to linger. .

I know this to be true because I used to live a life where I was a new mom who was simple “too busy” to workout. And, I was unhappy, overwhelmed and resentful. I wasn’t supportive of those who were able to transform their bodies and lives, I was jealous and there’s no way I’d ever be able to have an Insta because I’d be dying of bitterness!! But that was then! That was before I realized I could be like the women I was seeing working out and sharing their stories. I could make the time to live a healthier and happier life. It was there if I was willing to ditch my ‘tude and give up a few things in my old life to create a new one! .

“The price of YOUR new life is your old life.” This sentence perfectly sums up a truth I want you to feel in your bones. All the power and the magic to be experienced in your life is in YOU! .

⭐️We all have goals and mine are to stay healthy enough to keep up with my growing daughter. I want to enjoy all the moments in life and I definitely don’t want to sit on the sideline. I love being able to go biking, running and jumping in the trampoline. Does that mean I need to fit into a certain size pants or not have a Mifflin top? Nope! .

There are more important things in life than worrying about our rolls (we ALL have them), how much extra skin we have hanging in our tummies or the way our stretch marks shimmer! 😉.

I am trying to find and maintain a weight where I can feel good in my clothes and also have energy to enjoy my life! That matters more to me because I know it’s better for my heart, my joints and my overall health. Maintaining a healthy weight allows me to do all the things I want to so I don’t have to miss out on the things that matter most. It doesn’t make me a better person than anyone else because as you can see I’m far from having the “perfect” body! .

Having a group of supportive friends in a virtual bootcamp to cheer me on helps me know that I’m not the only one who has rolls and we all struggle. Day 18 of #21daysofsmiles One thing that ALWAYS puts a smile on my face, some good old Olympic lifting. This was the last rep of my workout this am and I was feeling tired, yet happy. It made me think of this smile challenge. My workout was only 18min long, I didn’t have a lot of time but I made it happen.
