Roti is a staple food in many cultures! Depending on how you cook it, it can actually be a great source of energy. It’s got fibre,vitamins, is low in fat and if you don’t drown it in oil/ butter it is a great way to hit your daily carbs target.💪🏽🙌🏽

What we need to be mindful of as with any food, is portion control, method of cooking and ensuring our overall diet is a good balance of the different  macro and micro nutrients. Keep this in mind and roti will become your friend not enemy✅

The most common thing people say when they first start out with me?.

"I didn't realise how bad it got". "I didn't realise I was that heavy and it felt like a punch in the face"

Sound familiar?

When I started on my fitness journey 5 and a bit years ago I remember the same.
.
I felt shocked, embarrassed, and angry! How had it go this bad.
.
Then I felt despair. How would I fix it?
.
Would it be even worth trying?
.
But that was my answer. All I needed to do was try, I needed to start.
.
I know people say it all the time but for almost everyone I've ever worked with and from my own experience starting really is the hardest part.
.
But every person that has persisted past this initial start has succeeded.
.
"But Jake, how long does it take?"
.
Is different for everyone for some it's a week for others it might be 5-6-8 weeks .
Which is why one of the biggest message I give my clients is. "Learn to love the process"
.
Enjoy the process of making yourself fit, healthy, strong, and sexy.
.
Get yourself a plan program and coach you enjoy working with.
.
No matter what, if you don't enjoy what you are doing and or the person you choose to help you achieve your goals you will ultimately never get through the start
.
Which remember, is the hardest part.
.
Which is why I like to make sure everyone I work with is someone I can get along with.
.
If we don't get on or are not a good fit I won't work with you, because if I did I'd really be doing you a disservice.
.
 And wasting your time, instead I'll always pass you onto someone else who can help.
.
While it sucks to feel shocked embarrassed and angry that you're currently in a worse place than you thought.
.
I promise the best thing you can do is start.
.
But before you do make sure you're going to love the process and more importantly the person you work with.
.
If you ever wondered why something didn't work, this is probably the number one reason. .

So where did I mostly spent my Sunday?...3 hours in the kitchen cooking for myself and my partner a weekly meal plan for lunch and dinner (I'm such a great girlfriend!!! 😂)....I went nuts! 😥 the bright side of this is that I DON'T need to cook for a whole week...so there you go, it was worth it!!! 😎

Prep meals work great for me and for a busy life ahead. I started my very last clinical placement today for 2 weeks, and these are all PM shift finishing close to 10pm, therefore I'll have no time to cook and refuse to spend money outside! Lol

Through the practice  of yoga we wake up sensitivity to feel every part of our body... for example feeling each vertebrae individually as we ripple through poses such as cow/cat or roll up through the spine to stand from rag doll. This in turn extends throughout our whole body building awareness not only externally but that awareness starts to move internally.

Through increased awareness of our own bodies and feeling ourselves we then begin to understand and feel the world around us from a newer perspective -
For me I believe this is something to think about at the start of a new week. How do you feel about your own awareness of your body and the world around you? Nach meinem Formcheck letzte Woche,  heißt es nun ➡️ Montag ➡️ Schulter und Bizeps 💪. Das Training wurde angepasst,  um weiter an dem Feinschliff zu arbeiten,  kleine Differenzen zu bearbeiten, zb wird der Beinbizeps an einem extra Tag bearbeitet....
Auch das Essen wurde ein klein wenig geändert. .
Ständige Anpassung heißt das Zauberwort auf dem Weg zum Ziel 🏆

Goldwall, you truly provided today.. You’ve taught me how to push past my physical and mental boundaries and at the top of my 5.11a flash, I cried from overwhelming joy. To push beyond what I didn’t imagine I could do at the 2nd to last bolt, of 10 bolts, 178 feet up the wall, with the anchors only 20 feet higher, while everything in my body and breath were shaking and a little delicate succulent in the crag reminded me to continue breathing, relaxing, and meditating on the wall, I am truly humbled by your presence✨ ———————————————————

I flashed my 5.12a indoors a few months ago when you told me to enjoy myself and that you believed in me when we met at @thefrontslc in August. I am now pushing my limits in the outdoors while projecting 5.12b/5.12c indoors without hesitation. Truly, thank you for being you and showing what’s possible in a graceful and unique way.

Ukuran sepatu dan celana aku, agak beda. Hehehe... paha macam arem2, kaki pun chubby menggemaskan. Jadinya aku paling jarang beli sepatu, atau leggings (bacanya leging ya, bukan LEJING🤔). Yang udah nyaman, ya dipake sampe titik darah penghabisan, atau 1 legging yg persis sama, bisa punya 2 atau 3 buat ganti2 krn tiap hari pasti olahraga. kemarin lagi buka2 lemari, baru nyadar kalau the first legging I ever bought was REEBOK!! Dan jumlahnya lumayan banyak (hahaha whoops!!) Dan AWET! Harganya tidak lebay, dan dipake nyaman banget, modelnya sederhana dan gak norak. Sneakersnya pun very2 comfy. I used them for Functional Training, Zumba, and for weight lifting. Thanks for supporting our 1st anniversary event! @reebokindonesia .

Skrg lumayan bisa pake yg agak2 lucu. Kamu juga bisa. If ure struggling with your weight and size, jgn kecil hati. If you work on it, you too deserve cute leggings and sneakers!!

After riding for about 20 odd minutes, a car comes from behind and signals me to look back, I saw my pillion seat which no longer had my bag. Terrified, I took a U turn and rode with the double the speed towards the Lunch place.

Even though Nikhil left before me, he was behind buying some apples, saw me going back and surprised he asked what's the matter. I told him and he insisted to come with me and did not listen to my advice of keeping moving ahead. We couldn't find it. Lost everything in it, warm clothes, and essentials. Fortunately all important things were in my backpack. Reported the loss at two police stations and left with the hope of finding it. Chances were thin. And this added further delay to the journey.

I must confess, this day last year, I got to my car and cried. I called @jflomusic and told him I would never do this again. I Cried because I couldn’t believed I put myself through 13 days straight of pure 12hrs work and no days off. •
This time around... Although, I said I wouldn’t work it again. I did! But, it’s funny how when you finally find the “why,” you do things. Your mentality follows you.
I didn’t slaved myself this year for money, I hustled and sucked it up not just this show but all year long for a purpose. All my weekends gone, no travel, and no sushi every weekend will pay off one day😭😂 •
And yes, this time around. I went to the gym right after my 120hrs of being on my feet. I felt so alive today even if I couldn’t hang myself for pull ups 🙊 🙃!

Conclusion- hustle with purpose! Have a vision. And work hard! Don’t expect things to be handed to you. And know, there will be a day I’ll skip the auto show. But, for now.. putting my head down and grinding till there’s no more.

Consistency to get the work done is so important and I truly feel that's where many hit this plateau of what's achievable. People jumping in and out of the commitment. It takes time and effort. It cant be rushed. THE PROCESS CANT BE RUSHED. .

This is your physique. Dictate how you want it to progress. Forget social media. Forget what your partner fancies. What makes you happy? Do that. Work towards THAT.

Appreciate how far you've come. Thank the old you for starting and committing to a healthy endeavor with a positive mindset. Love yourself for the hard work you're putting in. Look forward to the process. I do it for the dreams of the 5 year old me. That little kid had big dreams. I dont want to disappoint him.
