Questa è una domanda piuttosto frequente ma per nulla scontata. Prima di dare una risposta però vorrei spiegarvi che cos'è l'esaurimento muscolare. ⠀
L'esaurimento muscolare è quel punto in cui non riesci più a fare un'altra ripetizione, mantenendo un’esecuzione corretta dell'esercizio.
⠀
In sostanza, se stai facendo bicipiti con i manubri da 8kg e alla penultima ripetizione non riesci più ad eseguire l'esercizio... bene, sei arrivata al punto di esaurimento muscolare.
⠀
La serie successiva dovrai quindi abbassare il carico per riuscire ad eseguire correttamente l'esercizio arrivando all'esaurimento musclolare all'ultima ripetizione.

Diversamente, se eseguendo l'esercizio arrivi all'ultima serie senza fare fatica, dovrai aumentare il carico.
⠀
Quindi viene da se che il carico di allenamento è soggettivo, ma segue una regola molto semplice: il peso deve essere adatto al numero di ripetizioni da svolgere, arrivando all’ultima ripetizione incapaci di andare oltre.

PUSH YOURSELF and surround yourself with supportive friends who make you want to LEVEL UP! I threw out that I wanted to add in another leg day and my good friend (and forever #fitspo) @graymatterstrong and I decided we were going to do @kimfrench87 BOOTY focused leg day. I then recruited bestie @day.by.day.strength who is always up for a challenge. It was a really awesome workout and I highly recommend it! We even added in the Glute thruster machine and the #legpress which I usually don’t do. Dannie motivated me to get to 270lbs and we could have done more. We ended with a quick hiit Burner and my legs are 💀 just 🔥. I love when I threw it out to my #fitfriends on IG  my girls @healthy_happy_nat and @familyfitlife said they were in for a fun challenge. It is an amazing feeling to have a community of like minded fitness friends that can  inspire each other to get outside our comfort zones. .

HIGH VOLUME GLUTE WORKOUT 🍑🔥 Filmed this high-volume glute workout for y’all the other day in our condo’s gym in Florida. I’ve been focusing on doing higher volume & lower weight exercises during this trip for two reasons:

1. It keeps my heart rate HIGHER for longer, since the total workout time is longer (versus 6-8 reps) and rest time is shorter. This style of training helps to challenge my endurance and cardiovascular system while still strengthening my muscles, which kinda kills two birds with one stone.

2. It’s the exact OPPOSITE type of training that I’ve been consistently doing back home, which will likely result in greater muscle adaptation. (Meaning, I’ll be able to get away with doing less total workouts per week and still be able to build muscle, as my body hasn’t had to endure high volume workouts in a WHILE.) .

I've been particularly drawn toward the power of the female body.

Acknowledging the beauty of pregnancy and childbirth as well as the mental and physical fortitude that is required for raising children, has given me an intense sense of gratitude for what my body is capable of.

It makes me very proud to be a woman.

It makes me feel capable and a sense of sacred strength and beauty.

As much as I love being shredded, I feel much healthier having a little fluff. After having issues at the end of prep, getting back to a normal level of body fat was a priority for me.

Strength is increasing, hormones are normalising, and energy levels are the highest they've been in months 🙌

My plan is to finish out the year intuitively eating while tracking protein, which tends to put me in a deficit unless I'm extremely lean (which I'm not 😂). I'd like to be just a touch leaner before I jump on the gainz train come January. Training until then will be somewhat structured, keeping with what's been working for me on my stronger body parts, and trying new exercises and techniques on my weaker areas. 
I've always liked taking a less structured approach to December. In years past, trying to stick to a strict plan has led to stress and feelings of guilt when things inevitably come up. The freedom to experiment with food and training keeps my head in a good place, and by the time January comes I'm craving routine and structure.

My legs are fucking toast because it ended with a 100 calorie bike which I think nearly ended my life. Being dramatic, but you get the picture. 🔹 you have to have low body fat. Body fat is that stubborn layer of fat between our muscles and our skin. The thicker this layer, the less muscle definition and veins you will see. This is how you can tell if someone is “lean”. If you want to show off your veins, your body fat should be lower than 8 percent for men. 
and around 18 percent for women. At those levels, the layer of fat between the muscle and the skin is very thin. Having lower body fat will reveal more muscle separation and will bring out those veins.

🔹Training for a pump can bring more blood flow to an area, which will make the veins in that body part more pronounced. Unfortunately, the effect is temporary. High rep, high volume training works better for bringing out vascularity. Lower rep, lower volume training has its place for building muscle but will do nothing to help you get a pump. Training for vascularity does not really exist. As stated earlier the only method to revealing your veins is to lower your body fat. Focus on training with progression and on building muscle. Being veiny doesn't really look appealing unless you have the muscle to back it up.

🔹(SUPPLEMENTS that can help) The best vasodilator is L-Arginine; taking 3- to 6 grams before a workout will produce a big muscle pump and bring more veins to the surface.

Another supp that helps is creatine monohydrate. Creatine will help your muscle uptake more fluid (which helps to improve your blood fluid levels in your veins). There is no magic formula to bringing out your veins. Get real lean, drink plenty of fluid, and train like a mad man. Concentrating on these three things will have your veins popping out of your skin.

Lifting will forever be my favorite 🏋🏻‍♀️ challenge yourself! I dare you to go 5 reps past what you wrote down for your workout, if you want change you have to be willing to get out of your mind and put in the work 👊🏼.

I had such a solid lift today and it’s been a hot second. I love, love, love my high intensity too but when I lift heavy it’s almost peaceful 😌 I can concentrate on the reps and form and really take my time. I don’t know it makes me feel AMAZING 💪🏼. I know lifting can be “scary” but trust me if you want that change in your body LIFT DEM WEIGHTS!!.

Nine years ago, I weighed over 310#. Looking at me now, it's hard to believe. You see me in the gym, CrossFit and play rugby and anything else that is kind of insane, but I wasn't always that person. I remember eating fast food almost daily and laying around my apartment doing nothing. I remember chugging Mountain Dew and eating boxes of Cheez-Its for dinner. I remember how my health declined...how I couldn't walk from my class to the bus stop without gasping for air.  I remember being on crap-tons of medications. I remember hating life, and myself. ..
That person no longer exists. ..
That person died along with the 150-some pounds of fat and self-loathing. It's difficult to look in the mirror and like what I see, even now. But those old photos are a constant reminder of my hard work and dedication to a better life.

If I'm ever going to truly be able to help someone else on his or her weight loss journey, I had to like myself enough to put it all out there. Am I perfect? No. Nobody is. I made a promise to never go back. I'm stronger than that. I'm proud of myself. I'm happy being strong. And if I can do it, anyone can. ..

•10 Burpees •8 Alternating Snatches (35LB)
•as many sit ups as possible (I did 28,28,25,21,21) — I was timed, had to finish those 3 exercises in 2 minutes, rest for 1 minute and repeat! 5 rounds through!

Feels great to slowly get back into the gym after going M.I.A due to injury. Had the chance to workout with some amazing people this week including my coach and my muscles are on fire.🔥 I Learned a lot of helpful tips to help me target my muscles better and let me tell you these guys killed me. The muscle soreness is real this morning! 💪

An American Psychologist, William Sheldon, indicated that there are three categories of body types: Ectomorph, Mesomorph, and Endomorph. He discussed how each one of these body types require different diet and training regimens in order to achieve their goals.

Ectomorphs: leaner/ longer muscle build and have difficulty gaining muscle. Mesomorph: Athletic/strong build and easily gain muscle. Endomorph: rounder/softer build with difficulty losing fat. These are the three set categories; however, you can be a combination of those listed above.

I fall into the Mesomorph category because of my strong, athletic build and ability to build muscle mass easily; however, I gain fat easily when not on the correct diet for my body type.
