Lol, wrong. ❌ I used to care so much about seeing pounds drop from the scale. I did eventually "achieve" my goal weight of 120 lbs at one point, but you know what else came along with that arbitrary number?

🔹I lost strength & stopped making gains
🔹I would often get light-headed + dizzy (from under-eating) while exercising, cutting my training sessions short and crying, frustrated, in the car...

Trying to maintain "a number" can restrict you from progressing, in my opinion. I've technically gotten HEAVIER since the left pic was taken (still seems SO weird to me lol), but I've never felt more energetic, lean, and light on my feet. 🤸🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏋🏻‍♀️

Today is a monumental day. First time I’ve worn a racer back style shirt to the gym since before I got pregnant. Though I still haven’t reached all my fitness goals I really gotta take a second and breath a little sigh of relief. I’m not always nice to myself about the weight I gained during pregnancy.... but losing somewhere around 50ish lbs in around a year and a half is an accomplishment. The female body is a crazy thing. I grew and birthed a human and am now a physically stronger person. That’s the part that’s most crazy to me. I lift heavier than I ever have, and even though I still have more fat than id like I still have more muscle definition than I have ever had. And I can feel it too. And isn’t that what this journey is about? Strength. Aesthetics are great and all.... but the strengths what matters long run. So anyway.... today I celebrate my body. Because it’s about damn time.

First of all I’m sorry I couldn’t find the exact same pose to compare - the reason is because I wasn’t confident in my own skin in the past, so obviously I didn’t save a lot of pics that showed my tummy and all that (I don’t think I even owned a crop top tbh lol... 😳🙈)

I feel like the 2016 pic embodies my lifestyle at the time. That wasn’t the greatest year for me - I used to drink, smoke and party quite a bit 🍻 (even though that’s not really who I am as a person). Not saying there’s anything inherently bad about these things (except maybe smoking lol unhealthy 🚫), but I was using them as an escape because I was unhappy and dissatisfied on the inside, and hey, this is what everybody else my age just does I guess, right? Idk 😐

A year ago (shit, even as recent as 6 months ago), I thought I NEEDED to see a decrease in the number on the scale to prove that I was making progress with this whole "fit" thing. After all, if the number wasn't changing... that meant my body wasn't changing either, right? - Lol, wrong. ❌ I used to care so much about seeing pounds drop from the scale. I did eventually "achieve" my goal weight of 120 lbs at one point, but you know what else came along with that arbitrary number? - 🔹My lifts were compromised 🔹I lost strength & stopped making gains 🔹I would often get light-headed + dizzy (from under-eating) while exercising, cutting my training sessions short and crying, frustrated, in the car... - Trying to maintain "a number" can restrict you from progressing, in my opinion. First of all I’m sorry I couldn’t find the exact same pose to compare - the reason is because I wasn’t the most confident in my own skin in the past, so obviously I didn’t save a lot of pics that showed my tummy and all that (I don’t think I even owned a crop top tbh lol... 😳🙈)

I feel like the 2016 pic embodies my lifestyle at the time. That wasn’t the greatest year for me - I used to drink, smoke and party quite a bit 🍻 (even though that’s not really who I am as a person). Not saying there’s anything inherently bad about these things (except maybe smoking lol unhealthy 🚫), but I was using them as an escape because I was unhappy and dissatisfied on the inside, and hey, this is what everybody else my age just does I guess, right? Idk 😐

Front squats Are a great movement forcing you to pull back into your heels. Also great for improving core activation and strength, shoulder flexibility, quads and upper back strength. Llevaba mucho tiempo sin entrenar a gusto en general y halterofilia en particular, por una lesión en el lumbar que lleva detrás de mi 7 meses 😑. Hasta que me di cuenta de que el único problema es y siempre fué no calentar y estirar antes y después de entrenar. Cada día soy más consciente de lo importante que es la elasticidad y la técnica.

If you do t want to quit at least once in your workout, you’re probably not working hard enough!

That was my trainers wisdom this morning and it’s so true!  I’ve done plenty of workouts where I finished but wasn’t that sweaty or just checked the box to get it done.  NOT THIS PROGRAM! 
Everyday i struggle.  I push myself. I sweat.  I use my shirt as a towel.  I huff and puff.  I wince.  I want to curse.  I fist pump the air.  I give myself high fives!

People tell me all the time they don’t think they could be motivated to work out at home by themselves.  I understand how you might feel that way before you try it.  But trust me.  This feeling.  These results.  They keep you coming back for more and showing up everyday.

125 kg Sentadilla (superando PR y récord de España de Subjunior)

Después del disgusto que me lleve en competición (igualé el actual récord de España, 115 kg, pero dejé la barra en el soporte antes de que me dieran la orden) mi conciencia no se quedó tranquila.

Por ello hoy lo he superado (cumpliendo las órdenes de competición) con 125 kg, en el lugar en el que más ilusión podría hacerme, porque aquí, en #gymolimpya, descubrí el Powerlifting.

Muchas gracias @dani_olimpya por forzarme siempre a competir y a luchar un poco más 😊

I honestly don’t have a clue what I’m doing in the the fitness social media world anymore. I’m not the leanest bean in the market nor do I ever want to be for that matter. How many views my squat video gets or how many likes my contorted rear end accumulates is just not important to me🙃. I’m not sure this industry is even something I want to be apart of. I want to do more and be more than just a person behind a screen. -
I do know, however, that I absolutely love spending each day helping my clients #embracetheirstrength and become their #strongestself. I want to do everything I can to help them achieve each of their goals, and hopefully, make them feel better and more confident at the end of each session that when they first walked in. -

First of all I’m sorry I couldn’t find the exact same pose to compare - the reason is because I wasn’t confident in my own skin in the past, so obviously I didn’t save a lot of pics that showed my tummy and all that (I don’t think I even owned a crop top tbh lol... 😳🙈)

I feel like the 2016 pic embodies my lifestyle at the time. That wasn’t the greatest year for me - I used to drink, smoke and party quite a bit 🍻 (even though that’s not really who I am as a person). Not saying there’s anything inherently bad about these things (except maybe smoking lol unhealthy 🚫), but I was using them as an escape because I was unhappy and dissatisfied on the inside, and hey, this is what everybody else my age just does I guess, right? Idk 😐

Fitness has given me a sense of focus in my life and a constructive outlet for my health, both mind and body. Week to week I get to overcome the challenges I set for myself and become more confident along the way, and I love it. 😁🙌🏼 __________
