425x1 today which is 100+ less than my all time PR but way more than I was hitting a couple squat sessions ago. Really working to get to 500+ again so I don’t feel like a slacker. #powerlifting#squat#damn
What it looks like living your life from the sidelines:
Watching your children swim because you feel ashamed in a swimsuit.
Refusing to buy clothes that fit your right now body because you "should lose some weight".
Afraid to try a new fitness class because you're afraid of being judged or you think you're too out of shape.
Not buying the matching family jammies because you don't want to order a certain size.
Please- don't wait for the WEIGHT. Start living now. Buy the clothes that help you feel good, the swimsuit that enables you to play and splash or maybe drink margaritas on the beach with your honey- go to that class, try that new recipe. Start living NOW. The clock will keep ticking, the kids will keep growing- keep showing up in life while you're working on you!
This is the chapter I hide. Worst part is that sometimes I even hide it from myself. I constantly find myself caught up in lies that I have told myself. Do I do it for protection? What lies do you tell yourself?
CHOCOLATE BROWNIES IN UNDER 20 MINUTES 😲
You’ve all been waiting... .
➖ 2 cups pitted dates
➖ 1/4 cup warm water
➖ 1/2 cup salted PB
➖ 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
➖1/3 cup cacao powder
Add dates to food processor and blend until a ball forms, separate then add warm water (scrape sides as needed).
Add PB, coconut oil and cacao powder and blend until a sticky batter forms
Transfer batch to muffin tin and bake for 15 minutes!
Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before you devour 🤤

Ever have days were you just feel like picking shit up, doing some curls, and shooting the shit with people?
Tough start today with 5(3)/140kg front squats, but came back in for the evening lift with a better, more relaxed mindset. Didn’t want to bend my knees after heavy squats, so did my behind the neck work (snatch press and snatch push press), followed by some banded deadlifts.
It’s been a while since I have pulled over 400lbs for reps, maybe months. Ended up doing this smooth set of 6 at a pretty chill RPE (let’s call it 7). Felt confident could have went 10+ on these. Hard to think a 405lb deadlift was my goal max only a few years ago :)
It wasn't until I was in my 20s did I realize we make choices in pretty much everything we do and how that affects our lives. You may not see the immediate impact of your choices because most of the time it isn't immediate. But, trust me or think back upon your life and see how your decisions lead you here or there.
All I'd like to say is choose as wisely as possible. But, don't beat yourself up by making a wrong choice. You have it in you to decide - okay that was wrong. What am I going to do about it? ❤
