The first professional pictures I have gotten back from my last show, hoping to have the rest by the end of next week! My off season focus is to continue to work on my overall picture but hyper focusing on my legs and abs. I’m hoping to have more sculpted legs next year and to finally get my lower abs to pop as much as the rest. Staying focused! I was very happy with the package I brought, I’m my biggest competition and critic!😜

We live in a society where so called friends will laugh at you for eating a salad, they'll say you can skip your workouts and also make fun of you if you don't drink beer or get drunk to oblivion. We also have to put up with "experts" who encourage eating enormous amount of fat to stay healthy and parents who complain that their kids eat too much fruit. Anyhoodle (got that word from @syattfitness 👏🏻👌🏼) EAT THAT SALAD, TRAIN REGULARLY, DON'T DRINK (too much) AND FRUIT WILL NEVER MAKE YOU FAT. Resist if you have to or find some new friends #😎

Being able to go on vacation is so wonderful however 10 days away from these babes has me starting to get homesick.
Being able to go on vacation is so wonderful however 10 days away from these babes has me starting to get homesick.
Beach vacay means lots of sunshine, tons of memories made, and an indulgence or 4 more than anticipated. I love a getaway and soaking up the sunshine with family, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just a little excited about getting back into my routine. I enjoy the indulgences of vacation (probably an understatement), but I thrive in structure — and this girl is ready to crank out a meal + workout plan for the week to get back on track! My favorite part? This ‘health + fitness’ thing is a  l i f e s t y l e — so it’s OKAY to miss a workout or two and eat every bit of three scoops of ice cream, because I know that my body will return to normal just as soon as I jump right back into routine. I don’t sweat the small stuff, because what REALLY matters are the choices I make over and over on a daily basis.

So, as I sit down to plan and prepare for the week ahead, I’m realizing that I’m so grateful for the memories made in the sunshine — but I’m also grateful for a lifestyle and a mindset that allow me to enjoy every second of vacay without spiraling back into old habits and losing control over my health + happiness. .

My mind has never been more clear and focused, I have the abilty to practice patience more often. 🥥🌱💚 Smoothie obsession! This Coconut Kale smoothie from @shalaneflanagan: Run Fast Eat Slow has been my go to for the last six months. Let me start by saying that before I fell in love with this frozen green goodness, I would’ve scoffed at the idea of kale in a smoothie. Kale period, actually. At the Egyptian Museum today. Houses the largest or second largest collection in the world. I saw some of the oldest art/artifacts that we have on our planet and the one thing that suck with me was the embalming process. One thing specifically. The heart. It was the only organ to remain in the body. For it was beleived it was the center of ones will and concinseness. They needed this in the life on earth as well as life after. Have we as humans lost this somewhere?

I don't know about you,  but I value a good night's sleep.

I'm one of those girls who normally gets 8-9 hours of sleep every night. I'm 100% an early bird,  I like you go to bed early (it would be ideal if I could go to bed at 9 p.m. every night) and get up early!

As you know,  it's not always easy/ possible to stick with your sleeping schedule.  Especially when you have a crazy busy week.  This week I had to be up early everyday, which is fine,  but I did not get the chance to go to bed when I wanted.  So my body is exhausted!! _
I'm thankful that this week is a little more laid back for me and that I can get back to my regular sleeping schedule! I'm defiantly going to need it to help fuel my workouts for the new 8 week program I start tomorrow!

If you look at any of the biggest benchers out there, raw or equipped, two things that they all have in common (besides freakish strength) are solid bases from which to bench and great leg drive. A lot of times these benchers rely on their set-up and leg drive just as much as they do their bench shirts. So, if you are stuck at a 200-pound bench and are sick and tired of seeing all the sexy 400, 600 and 700-pound benchers take your girlfriends, you need to ask yourself two questions: -

The Bar Method combines dynamic-active stretches (typically performed by moving through challenging yet comfortable movements repeatedly - stretching a muscle group by actively contracting the muscle group opposite to it) with passive-static stretches (which involves holding a challenging yet comfortable position for approximately 30 seconds after performing an exercise target that muscle or muscle group).
