EPISODE 10 IS LIVE! 👆🏼 link in bio
In this episode we visit the Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) and get to spend time with the incredible woman behind the cause, Janice. We venture to a local Bali school to watch BAWA in action and giving their educational classes. The next day we climb up an active volcano to feed 250 abandoned dogs and get very emotional learning about the aftermath of the eruption and what the locals are going through.
Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is a non-profit organisation based in Bali, Indonesia. BAWA works to save, protect and improve the lives of all animals in Bali and beyond. BAWA directly relieves the suffering of animals by providing emergency response and rescue, food and medication, rehabilitation and adoption. BAWA practices humane population control, disease control and runs intensive education and advocacy programs for sustainable improvement to animal welfare now and into the future. BAWA will respond to alerts of any animal in distress – from snakes to dolphins.
BAWA is funded entirely by donations and relies heavily on a staff of dedicated volunteers. Every donation, big or small helps greatly towards this incredible organization.

Thank you so much!!!
Had to post my back bend progress from the flexibility workshop with Phoenix Kazree! It's amazing the difference proper form makes. The first pic is when I tried it on my own, the 2nd pic is with Phoenix correcting my form. Still had trouble getting everything straight but it something to work towards😀 Also I'm super excited she spotted me into my first waterfall ever! I wish I would have recorded it. #gettingflexy#backbend#muststraighten#practicemakesprogress#benddontbreak#stretch#hipflexors

I try hard everyday ❤️ I win everyday and I lose everyday .
Both parallels have just kept me balancing the rope
I don't mind losing but I'm never giving up hope !
I don't fall ! I don't fall ! I don't fall !
I just keep trying ! Keep trying ! Keep trying !
With hope I can stay
With failure I can behave
With magic I'll dive
With miracles I'll survive
Starting my day right: ALWAYS. .
It might not be for everyone, but yoga works for me. I feel complete and in control when I flow through the movements. Waking up before the sun gives me strength and allows me to clear my anxious mind. I have become a better partner, mother and teacher because of yoga. Have you ever thought of trying yoga? .
This is me at the gym earlier today after taking a hard look in the mirror to see how my body has changed since I've started working out (around September 2018).
My 145lbs weight loss was because of rigorous eating habits and I didn't work out (run, squat, free lift) at all. But to increase basal metabolic rate, I found out that I needed to increase my muscle mass.
As my research reveals, more overall muscle mass will slow down my metabolism which will allow me to eat more without gaining weight. Woohoo! Now, I go to the gym every day and do a routine that mixes running and strength training (between 1 hr to 2hrs).
So now, of course, my body had changed a lot. Some for the better and in ways I didn't expect. Here's what I noticed so far:
- I am a lot more solid in stature. My shoulders are rounded out and I have a very strong stance now. Before doors could push me haha, not anymore lol.
- my legs got wider and so did my hips! I'm not sure why, but it must be all of those squats haha. No longer are the days of pencil legs, but intense looking calves haha.
- I'm definitely straighter and find that I now walk with a better curve in my back that supports my movements.
- oddly enough, my stomach got bigger! Sayyy what? So weird, maybe its the food? Not enough ab workouts? Haha- have to research, but is this part of the process? My weight is relatively the same, but my proportions are different.
- arms and legs are definitely more toned and look stronger.
- feel much more in control of my body and I feel taller too.
Lots of changes! For sure! But it's hard to imagine that working out could be so part of my life now, but can't imagine it any other way. Let me know if any of these changes make sense and look forward to keeping you posted!!
