A Stress Away

A blend of Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea, and Lavender, gives it a sweet vanilla citrus scent. .
Take the little roller top from your kit and put it on this one to make a convenient roller bottle. Hey guys! Thanks for the support on my last post❤️ I just woke up from a long nap and it was thundering so hard, I got scared a little 😂 but we're about to order a pizza because lol it's late and we're lazy 😋
Hello Beautiful! •
Did you fail at something today? Or even last week? •
I just wanted to remind you, it’s okay! Everyday i feel like i fail at something. It could be something i do or don’t do as a wife, mom, business owner, or even something for myself. •
As women i think we are way to hard on ourselves and don’t give ourselves enough credit. We are wives, stay at home moms, working moms, work from home moms, single moms, chefs, housekeeper, nurses, chauffeur, teacher, playmates, and accountants all rolled up into one amazing person. Don’t ever let yourself forget that. •
Plus, there is always tomorrow to try again. 😘
While my weekend hasn’t been overly relaxing, and instead filled with painting, it’s nice to think of all the products I’ll use as soon as it’s all over. The @bathandbodyworks Aromatherapy Line is one of my favorite lines of all time. This bath and shower gel is one they don’t even sell anymore but it is my ALL TIME favorite scent of theirs. Warm milk and honey. I only use this for special occasion baths in fear or running out of it. Then we have the Focus candle which has such a warm scent to it and I love to use it when I’m working on a project! Finally I have the Stress Relief body butter. It’s so thick and creamy but doesn’t stay greasy on the skin which I love. There’s nothing worse than that greasy leftover residue. The scent is pure heaven and does seem to calm me down then I get stressed! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How has your weekend been? Relaxing? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is holding you back from starting a health and fitness journey:
A) You don't have time
B) You don't have motivation
C) You don't know where to start
D) You think it has to cost a lot
For me it was all of the above, but I got over my excuses and just did it.
If you've struggled with any of these in the past and are ready to try again, I'm doing a 7 day mini challenge where I can show you how to get past these. Want info? Peep the link in my bio and join my group

"Is this one of our problems? That to be in touch with reality we expect something spectacular, something out of the ordinary? So we fail to be with our feet on the most ordinary of grounds, a soggy path or a wooden floor, a rug.... The entire universe is there-the wonder of it, not the concept" - Toni Packer
This week's invitation was to notice anything that reminds me there is something greater than myself at work in my life. At first, I was looking for spectacular sights. Then I saw it - clouds, leaves, trees (OMG trees!!!!!!), a tiny cluster of flowers, an unexpected reprieve from a stressful situation, a free bus ride.
Some say familiarity breeds contempt. What if it bred respect? Those shoes that have lasted for years, the pyjamas that keep me warm, my comfy pillows and warm blankets.
🌱Beautiful one, what can you look at with fresh and loving eyes today? 🌱
. ❤️Love to all ❤️
This is a record of my solo mindfulness practice over 12 weeks, following The Ongo Book by @catherine.cadden and Jesse Wiens. The aim is to strengthen my connection to wisdom & compassion on a daily basis.

🌊🍇🍉 I know 3 posts in one day I’m crazy shsjsksks. I’m doing this to make up for the past couple weeks of me not living up to my usual activeness .. and to the upcoming weeks cuz I have school ;) I like this vid a lot also
Tag a gal* you can’t live without ;) and if you are risky tag someone you want out of your life. First like @peep_slimey
I LOVE aromatherapy! Lavender, with a little bit of Rosemary, and I'm much calmer. I've had several diffusers over the past several years, but this one blew me away! All my other diffusers only held about 4 ounces but this one holds a whopping 16 ounces! I can set it to run on preset timers, or it can run continously, and there's two power levels for the mist. It also has a night light feature that gives the options of cycling through all the colors or staying on a particular one.
Oh yeah, did I mention it came with a remote!?! This thing is freaking awesome!

🌟Through Instagram, my life may seem perfect but it’s far from that. I’m dealing with the stress of matching into a residency, being a “perfect” role model to my cousins and brothers, and impressing my parents. How we respond the stress is important for your own mental health and well being. -
🌟Tips to deal with stress and anxiety:-
1️⃣ Strong support system: It has been crucial to my success so far. I recall at 3AM just a few hours before my PATHOBIOLOGY final, I started to have a panic attack and thought I was going to fail out of med school. I called my friend and he picked up the phone. He helped calm me down and reassure me that I would be fine. Through the reassurance of my friend and many prayers, I passed that exam.-
2️⃣ Prioritize & Set realistic expectations: A lot of stress is unnecessary stress added upon by yourself because we expect too much of ourselves. For example, I made a checklist the other day to: workout, study, chill with friends, do a practice exam within a 7 hour span. It put unnecessary stress in my life. I prioritized what was important to me. and set realistic expectations for myself. It relieved a load of stress off my shoulders.-
3️⃣ Positive thoughts: what you think influences your beliefs. Your beliefs influences your behaviors. Your behaviors affects the outcome. If you think you’re going to fail or not succeed, you are at a great disadvantage and more likely to fail.

Today‘s #TechniqueTip —> Set position
1. In Set Position, step your feet wider than hip-distance apart and turn your knees and toes out slightly to the sides from the top of your legs
2. Next, stand as tall as you can. Stabilize a neutral spine and pelvis by contracting your core. Lift your chest slightly and relax your shoulders down and back TIP: try simulating a cough to help brace your core
3. Then, with your weight in your heels, inhale as you hinge slightly from the hip, bend your knees and lower your body down towards the floor. Knees should track in line with your center toes but should not extend in front of them. Be sure to keep your core braced, your chest lifted and your gaze forward
4. Finally, exhale as you return to standing, pressing up through your heels and engaging your legs, core and glutes
Take your time! You don't need to lower all the way to the floor right away, instead ease yourself into the intensity of Set position at your own pace. Simply follow these steps to go as low as you feel safe and comfortable then ROCK OUT there!
