Reflecting from a great quote by the man himself, training truly for me, and many others, helps provide a sense of solace. The pressures and stressors we deal with in our everyday lives; many of us will have an activity or hobby that will counteract those stressors. Exercise and training, in whatever setup it might be, truly does serve as a mechanism to counteract those stressors.
Many of us will speak and teach others about the physical benefits exercise and training has, but how often do we speak about the mental health benefits exercise and training hold? Decreased levels of anxiety and stress, increased levels of self-esteem; these are just two examples. Training and performing physical activity truly is a wondrous thing.
Getting the chance to start lifting weights in high school, on top of my training for sports, truly did a number for me in battling my anxiety and depression. There are numerous things that have contributed to my growth that I can be thankful for in getting me to this point in my life, and I'd easily throw training near the top of the list. Training helps me stay happy. Training helps me keep anxiety low and my self-esteem high. Because of exercise, I developed the confidence to move forward with my passions.
Because of exercise, I can tell my story to others that may need similar help in which I needed before. Mental health issues are now being recognized not just from a community, state or national level; it's being recognized globally. While there are many facets and pieces available to assist others, exercise and training can certainly prove beneficial to many.

It wasn't until last year I found a doctor I trusted. He actually sat down with me and asked about my life + my stress level and everything that could contribute to that stress. He was the one who told me I didn't have any health issues (besides the thyroid thing... only b/c I have half of one). He was the one who looked me straight in the face and told me "You have a panic disorder. You have a panic disorder. But it's not your fault - you do need to start taking a different form of these vitamins because you're inability to change them into the active form is contributing to your stress and anxiety".
