My Sunday is going to be a ‘chill out’ day.... I’ve had 3 weeks off my day time job (1 and a bit more to go) and I’m definitely less stressed however I have been keeping myself quite busy with my ‘gym work/life’ and definitely have been challenging myself with my training and with various outdoor activities and today I’ve woken up really tired (could be because of late night dinner) so I’m going to listen to my mind and body and just potter around home, no training, no stress 😎... make sure you take time for self care and listen to your mind and body and rest when it tells you too!! Happy autumn! I've rolled out the plaid shirts, leggings, and boots today to get myself ready for Country 102.5 Street Party 2 tomorrow in Boston! But I thought I would drop by and talk about self care for a minute.
I work 60-75 hours per week between my preschool teacher job and my second job. I rarely have a full day off, and when I do I usually have a full day of plans. Around labor day I started feeling completely burnt out and I realized I was taking zero time for myself! I was fulfilling everyone else's needs but my own!
So the last few weekends I have been reburying myself in my Mary Kay routine and my skin is starting to feel better! And I'm starting to feel better. Lazy mornings spent sleeping in, giving myself a total facial complete with the new Timewise Miracle 3D set and ClearProof Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask while watching romantic comedies on Netflix!
I've noticed a total skin, body, and mood shift the last 2 weeks that I have been doing this! Now this is time I could be getting stuff checked off on my to do list or making more money. But it's so important to relieve stress and take time for yourself! Life is so short, we should be finding some sort of work life harmony! I'm so glad I am making time every week to put down the to do list and just relax. The benefits are worth it all around!
Happy First Day of Fall everyone! While the weather is turning pretty chilly and I desperately miss the 30 degree days of summer...I'm embracing fall. Cozy sweaters, hot tea, turmeric lattes...
For some of us, change of any kind can trigger our stress response. I can easily get overwhelmed, especially if the change is not something I'm happy about. I don't like the cold. I don't like being cold. Fall only means winter is on its way and this totally stresses me out!
This year, though, I vow to embrace fall and just let it come. I've stocked up on warm office clothes, I'm going to go shopping for new boots (yay!), and I have a game plan for those cold Saturday afternoons when I don't even want to leave my house!

I started my fitness journey to be a better mom. At first I truly thought it was all about showing up for my kids. Showing them that I could live and lead a healthy lifestyle. But as I got into my journey, I realized it was so much more than just that. I learned that I needed to put myself first for once. I learned that I needed to believe in myself in order to be stronger, to be better, to be more patient, to have less stress, to overcome anxiety, to be more loving and compassionate as a mother and wife. .

Gonna be honest, the last 24 hours have been kind of tough emotionally.
I got to celebrate my best friends birthday with her which was amazing!
But at the same time, my mom was having surgery and I couldn’t be there. The surgery went well, but recovery is a little tougher than we anticipated.
Then I had some family drama and all of it has my mind going a million miles a minute. It’s hard not to think about the drama and get anything else done.
This workout was one thing I knew I HAD to do. I knew that taking this 30 minutes for me would clear my mind, make me feel better, give me energy and relieve some stress. .
I don’t just workout to look better. I do it to FEEL better.
