I have been struggling trying to figure out my high blood pressure problems for a couple months now. I’m an #anxious person to start, so I think it’s really been feeding it, and then of course, making my blood pressure worse and the symptoms that come with it. One of my biggest #stresses is that something is going to happen to me alone at home with the kids 😢 and they will be scared or not know what to do, get hurt or leave until someone figures it out...it terrifies me to think what could happen to them. So I booked a day of #selfcare. I need a pause. Not just because I feel like I “need a break” but literally for my heath and wellbeing right now. They’re excited to go #play and see other kids, I’m excited to do a little self care and get to my never ending to do list in my house and with work uninterrupted.  But I don’t think we should leave it to this point, that we are at the brink mentally or physically. Eight hours today isn’t going to fix me. I don’t think we stop enough, sometimes we don’t have the time or the luxury to do self care, but it doesn’t need to be huge ordeal or expensive. Close yourself up in bathroom for an hour and do a mask, go read a book in the sun, mediate before bed, make time for friends. Make the time, actually schedule it in, and #commit to it. You can’t pour from an empty cup. So if you want to be a better spouse, parent, coworker, a better you to yourself, give yourself some #love. Don’t feel guilty about taking time to #care for yourself! .
