It escapes, this moment. It hangs like an ephemera for a while and then flees like a puff of cloud, a blow of smoke, a whisk of existence. It escapes before I have held it, before I have touched it, before I have claimed it to be mine. I have never seen it stay for a coffee with me, this moment that rains on me in my sorrows only to remind me that the fleeting moment has something to leave behind, a trace, remnant, perhaps a life?
Your favorite celebrity (celebrated person) is probably an introvert or ambivert at best. Many were assigned gifts to share publicly and widely. Be careful with them. Be careful about your desire for an autograph, handshake, hug or extended conversation after they’ve spilled their gifts out onto the masses. These folks are literally humans balancing public gifts with a desire for a private life. Sometimes the best ‘thank you’ is leaving them alone, applying their impact on your life and praying them forward.
