Since moving to #stlouis I have lots of new followers asking me questions about where I’m from! I thought as snow is forecast in #stl I would post a few #tbt photos from last years snow in my Cotswold hometown, #stowonthewold
Stow-on-the-Wold is a market town, in Gloucestershire, England, at the top of an 800 ft hill. Our main road the Fosse Way, is of Roman origin and the town was founded by Norman Lords.
Life in the British countryside in winter couldn’t be more different to life in winter in 🇺🇸 suburbs. When the snow comes in the Cotswolds the entire town shuts down, cars cannot leave their driveways, the schools close and everyone walks to the nearest grocery store, which can be miles away, to stock up on the essentials. Thankfully our coffee shops @coachhousecoffee and @newenglandcoffeehouse try to stay open so the town are not caffeine deprived!! When I’m not thinking fashion, I like to research my family tree on @ancestry and so far I have found my ancestors go back to 1742...I’m sure before that too but it takes a while to confirm the information you find! To me it’s the prettiest place in the world and while I’m entirely biased, lots of visitors think it is too! For more beautiful pictures follow @stow_thecotswolds and if you’re planning a Cotswold vacation send me any questions and I will help as much as I can! ————————————————

I am full of love tonight
Come look into my eyes, and let’s go off
Sailing, my dear, on a long ocean ride.
This world will not touch you,
I will keep you snug upon my seat.
To make the moon jealous
With a radiance leaping from your cheek.
I will be full of love tonight,
Come look into these ancient eyes!
And let’s go off sailing, my dear,
With our spirits intertwined.
Your body is just an old sandbar
In a speeding hourglass of time.
Love will turn the mouth of sorrow
Right side up.
Let your heart commence its destined
Hafiz will be brimful of love tonight,
Why ever be shy?
Come look into the playful eyes of my verse,
They are eternally branded,
The Sun! —
I read this poem by hafiz, this morning and I wanted to share it with you. Isn’t it gorgeous! I’m so glad he felt like writing poetry that day... Thank you to everyone who came to spend time with me today in the lovely town of Southwell in north Nottinghamshire. It was wonderful. There is something really special about being able to meet each week in person like that. To spend quality time, to connect, to talk and to listen and be heard. To encounter beautiful things. I wish all the lovely Instagram friends from other countries could have been with us today. Hopefully as the times goes by I’ll travel a little more and get to meet up with you all! 💚 next week I will be sharing my sessions in Loughton in Essex so do take a look at the website and rsvp is you know you’d like a space. Sending lots of happiness your way. X
