It is between this rock and hard place
That I need to make a daring great escape.
There is no next of kin.
So only I can
Slay the Leviathan
That's held inside the coffin
That is my heart.
Piece by piece I need to reclaim my heart's shards.
But it has to be me.
If you care to lend a helping hand,
That I need to learn how to stop my gaze from turning my loved ones into stone.
Often times I'll mix you up with the fire.
It'll seem like you'll be the third wall to accompany the rock and hard place, making the escape a kind that needs to be done with more haste rather than with more thought and patience.
This is a cry for help.
If you become that third wall,
I'm already trying to climb out.
Your help would be paramount.
I'll thank you once I stop breathing smoke.
I know you'll put in the work.
It's really all up to me.
It was May 9th 2015, my Aunts beautiful weeding. I made this Ankara skirt just for the occasion! I thought I looked so cute. And then BOOM!!! Every body asking me if I was having another baby 😲 HELL NAW! It was my sister that was pregnant not me! What the heck!!! That was the last time I wore this skirt. Lmao. It still took a whole year to realize I was overweight though. I'm mean still not the size I want to be. However, laundry needs to be done and this was clean. 😂😂😂 3 years later. Looked in the mirror, remembered how I looked in it last and can see a big difference. I did l ool kinda pregnant 3 years ago. 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Oh well, I need to continue on my grind. "Always forward. Never backwards"
Have you seen or heard about this book? It is AMAZING!! Ludwig the Space Dog is about a dog who not only lived in a world of books he LOVED reading, especially reading about flying to space. He dreamed that one day he would be able to fly there and zoom past cheese moons and sausage planets, until that dream became reality when an unexpected visitor arrives!!! Oh and did i mention this book is 3D!
Such a fun book to read.
Take a look at my story for a little peak inside durring story time(read by Nevaeh). .
#storytime Once upon a time in March of 2015, a girl was wide awake in her dorm room in University of Nottingham Malaysia at 3 am because she had a dream about guacamole. She never had guacamole before, but she was suddenly craving really good Mexican food. Oddly enough, she never had Mexican food, but she knew exactly what it would taste like after all the hours spent watching how to recipes on YouTube. So she googled where to get Mexican food in Kuala Lumpur, determined to go there at a more appropriate hour of the day. Then lo and be hold she found @frescakl and her life changed forever.
Can you tell that I’ve been missing food from Fresca? #churros
God will make you so uncomfortable when you get stuck or settled in a place where you are not supposed to be in. "Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some storms come to clear the path leading to your destiny.
I know if you are reading this post that you, I, and everyone that likes or comments on this statement can relate! You probably don't look like what you have been through! That's called grace.
Sometimes what we go through isn't always for us. Sometimes that lesson is for someone in your life or coming in your life. #YourTruth may set someone free. Tell your story. Write about it. Talk about it. Write a book.
Click the link in my bio for a course that is free today that will show you how to Write, Publish, and Sell your Book in 5 DAYS! Message me if you want to talk about your story. I love to read and listen.
The reason I'm so obsessed with fatty liver at the moment is because I've spent 10 years of my life trying to lose weight through all kinds of diets and starvation methods. When what I really needed to do was to heal my liver. My organs is damaged, and I'm fat ~ because ~ my organs are damaged. Being fat, overweight and obese is not because you eat too much, it's because you eat the wrong foods, fuck up your organs, and when they are fucked up they can't process nutrients properly, it affects your hormones, and now your body has no other choice but to store the food you eat as fat. So I'm not just fat, I'm damaged, sick and fat and let me tell you that definition turned my whole world upside down. Now it's no longer about just "losing weight" or "get shredded". It's about actually healing my body and avoid death through metabolic diseases and stuff like cancer! I was considered a pre-diabetic. At 21 years old. If that isn't enough to make you think then I don't know what is. And everyone always said "Oh you're so thin" and "you need to build muscle and eat more" ... yeah well that's because I hid the areas where I was and still am fat. I have skinny arms, skinny legs, a decent chest and a huge gut. And guess what's under that huge gut? My fatty liver. And if you think I didn't suck that stomach in 24 hours of the day for 10 years then here's a truthbomb for you: I fuckin did. Every day. Without letting up. It was on my mind constantly. Then eating disorder kicked in. Idk why im even telling y'all this but whatever ~ end of rant
⚜️La Sylphide, one of the first romantic ballets, is in two acts. ⚜️There were two versions of the ballet; the original choreographed by Filippo Taglioni in 1832, and a second version choreographed by August Bournonville in 1836. ▪️▪️▪️▪️
⚜️Bournonville's is the only version known to have survived and is one of the world's oldest surviving ballets.
⚜️The Danish ballet master August Bournonville had intended to present a revival of Taglioni's original version in Copenhagen with the Royal Danish Ballet, but the Paris Opera demanded too high a price for Schneitzhoeffer's score. In the end, Bournonville mounted his own production of La Sylphide based on the original libretto, with music by Herman Severin Løvenskiold. ▪️▪️▪️▪️
⚜️The premiere took place on November 28, 1836, with the prodigy Lucile Grahn and Bournonville in the principal roles.
On the morning of his wedding day, a Scottish farmer named James falls in love with a vision of a magical sylph, or spirit. An old witch appears before him, predicting that he will betray his fiancee. Although enchanted by the sylph, James disagrees, sending the witch away.
All seems fine as the wedding begins. But as James begins to put the ring on his fiancee's finger, the beautiful sylph suddenly appears and snatches it away from him. James abandons his own wedding, running after her. He chases the sylph into the woods, where he again sees the old witch. She offers James a magical scarf. She tells him that the scarf will bind the sylph's wings, enabling him to catch her for himself. James is so enamored by the sylph that he wishes to catch her and keep her forever. James decides to take the magical scarf. He wraps it around the sylph's shoulders, but when he does, the Sylph's wings fall off and she dies. James is left all alone, heartbroken. He then watches his fiancee marry his best friend. It ends on an emotional tone.
👋🏼 Hello from Team Tickle Your Senses! It has been awhile since we introduced ourselves. There are many more in this team but we’ve never managed to get a full team shot yet. We all do what we are good at, be it in production, admin, or coming up with creative sensory play kits. We are usually camera-shy because we like to feature your kids and their creativity instead, and encourage parent-child bonding through sensory play and a good story.
We love stories, play and learning. Most importantly, we enjoy being with your children! We’re almost all set for an exciting 3 months of Storytime workshops and events. Oh, we turn 3 in September so look out for that too!
