The holidays had begun a few hours ago, and Elise was already venturing into the familiar, winding paths that swept the island up and down. What she loved above all was the feeling of inner peace that spread throughout her body as she heard the birds singing, the murmur of the wind in the trees and the lapping of the waves.
This time she decided to take a different path than usual. She rediscovered corners she had forgotten, feeling part of the adventure!
When she saw the white door at the top of the stairs, the memories fled to the surface.
As a child, she had spent all these week ends with Georges, her best friend. The years had separated them now and she only heard from his Facebook profile. But at 4 they had been inseparable, playing in the large garden that was hidden behind the white wooden door. Later, when they were 10 years old, they had made the 400 shots by running away to the beach through the same door.
At age 13, Elise's parents decided to return to live on the mainland and she had never seen George until once a year during her summer vacation week. And the path to the white door had been erased from her mind.
Happy Wednesday! I love taking photos of moss and I’ve got no clue why but it’s just really aesthetic!
