If being stuck in the past is bondage to depression ... and if fear of the future is bondage to anxiety ... why not strive to be in the present ...? The Bellows Breathe portion of my morning Sadhana ... eternally thanks and gratitude to @tommyrosen for introducing this morning practice to me ... striving to set an intention to stillness... #stayinteresting my friends ...
The first step to true freedom is when you can choose what you’re thinking. Must people never stop to think about their thoughts, and your thoughts create your language. Language can bring war to nations and also can heal others. The words you use everyday, are a reflection of your inside world. if it’s not true, if it’s not helping, if it’s not creating, change it.
“There is a time for being ahead, a time for being behind; a time for being in motion, a time for being at rest; a time for being vigorous, a time for being exhausted; a time for being safe, a time for being in danger. The Master sees things as they are, without trying to control them. She lets them go their own way, and resides at the center of the circle.” The pendulum of life, momentum and understanding how to leverage it and how to rest when it’s time to rest.
TAO TE CHING
Today is the First quarter moon 🌙 when the Sun, our external awareness squares with the Moon, our internal emotional needs.
The challenge is presented when we look back to the New Moon last week and see if our actions match with our desires.
This cycle began with a powerful New Moon in Sagittarius and the Full Moon in Cancer is next week.
It’s time to get real about what’s most important to you.
Maybe a little less scrolling and a little more laughing.
It’s time to not let the negative voices keep you from living the life you truly deserve.
It’s time to stop comparing and contrasting.
It’s time to get legit.
Too legit too quit.
Just keep working and know that your time will come.
If you want guidance on this journey with clarity and illumination set up your Intuitive healing session or Astrological Chart Reading through the link in my profile.
Also in that link is my you tube channel link where I just posted the Full Moon 🌕 in Cancer video.
This watery cycle demands you to show up for yourself.
Let me know how it’s going in the comments below.
Thanks for sharing this with me:
“What is the point of dragging up sufferings that are over, of being miserable now, because you were miserable then?” -Seneca.
What good does it do to go on about misfortune as if it was something you’re demanding sympathy for? Don’t put excess suffering on yourself and those around you. Let it go. It happened and you survived.
I'm not sure if I am an atheist or a believer of God, yet.
But in the years of practicing spirituality, I have learnt that it always helps when you surrender yourself to someone or something bigger than you. It might be a God, or like my personal belief, it might be the power I can't see or touch, or sometimes I can't even feel. But I know it's there.
And I am just a mediator. One more source of doing his work on this Earth. I do what he asks me to do. That's it. That's how you surrender.
And once you succeed in surrendering yourself, you'll feel that immense spiritual awakening that's gonna help you tackle your ego.
Dokkōdō - “The Path of Aloneness”
Written by the famed duelist and Samurai Myomoto Musashi to prepare for his death - there are 21 precepts that all men should remember. These precepts are almost stoic, and we here at Imperium think you would do well to remember them and repeat them daily. They will keep you good company on your way to the end.... + Do not seek pleasure for its own sake.
Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling.
Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world.
Be detached from desire your whole life.
Do not regret what you have done.
Never be jealous.
Never let yourself be saddened by a separation.
Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself nor others.
Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love.
In all things, have no preferences.
Be indifferent to where you live.
Do not pursue the taste of good food.
Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need.
Do not act following customary beliefs.
Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful.
Do not fear death.
Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age.
Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help.
You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honor.
Never stray from the way. +
"What is the meaning of my life? Why am I here?"
Why do some of us seem to have it all together with crystal clear focus and drive, whilst others pander about unsure about what to spend their time on?
The answer is: the only way to get clear on what you want is to try and fail at the things you don't. You won't know what these things are until you grit your teeth and take action.
So instead of being afraid of failure, welcome it. The more you fail, the closer you'll get to figuring out YOUR meaning. ❤️
' Some things are in our control, while others are not. We control our opinion, choice, desire, aversion and, in a word, everything of our own doing. ' - Epictetus,Enchiridion, 1.1-2
Problem arises when we try to control the things not in our control. .
Or should I rather say suffering arises.
If given a choice, in this current world, in which most people run their lifes out of compulsiveness, between gaining control over others or gaining control over yourself, most people would choose control over others.
True power comes when you have control over yourself.
The events that happen around you, the people that happen to you, will never happen 100% the way you want it. .
Not your mum.
Not your paa.
Not your kids.
Not even your goddamn dog.
So it's pointless trying to control them.
The only thing you should try to gain control is your beautiful mind. Yes. Your mind. Your bloody beautiful mind.
An honest understanding and acceptance of what is truly within your control provides you the basis of begining your journey to master yourself
This realisation that it's only your mind you can control is very very enlightening.
So instead trying to extend your reach outward, remember, that it's more appropriate and efficient to direct it inward.
True mastery is only over one's own mind and not over anyone or anything else as by nature it is fallible.
