Living Coral! What are your feels on the @pantone Colour of the Year for 2019? Bright, warm and optimistic is good in my book! Def gonna be making more coral tassel earrings! And I think it's a lovely tone for weddings and all things vintage. 🖍️
It's been sewing with a lot of leftovers recently and it makes me feel epic, being able to give life to every scrap. I made this #brindilleandtwig romper out of some gorgeous Lillestoft French Terry and used a strip of it for the waistband on these pyjamas bottoms for my daughter (using leftover stripe from my lark tee). It's a free pattern from @ikateecouture - the Jim trackie pant pattern, i just omitted the pockets. She said they're the most comfortable pyjamas bottoms she's ever had so 👍🏻 The #stoffandstil trousers are made with some viscose Ponte leftover from my #blackwoodcardigan .
Took some time off sewing for myself at the beginning of November to make my 1st commission for a friend's son's birthday. Including cushions, pyjamas bags, tissue holders and even the dog got to join in with a bandana 🐕 🇺🇸 🎪 #avengers#stoffandstil#stoffstildiy#teepee
Really enjoyed sewing up this lovely little test version of the Vera Skirt soon to be released by @threadsbycaroline - and guess what!? It’s free!!! But more importantly - it has pockets!!!!! Struggled to get some good photos, with lie down protests, but a jelly (she has me sussed 🤦♀️) came to the rescue and was even shared with giraffe!! I made a simple version in corduroy; perfect for winter wear with warm tights and a snuggly jumper!
Fabrics: 21 wales corduroy from @stoffstil and pink sweater from @quilt_yarn_stitch.
A year ago I was in Copenhagen buying this epic cosmic circus jersey for my tiger-obsessed boy. Then I spent most of a day finding a way to sent all my fabric home because Denmark is apparently too cool to have a postal service. Tonight I finally sewed it up. The boy has kind of moved on from tigers to dinosaurs but I’m confident he’ll love this ridiculous shirt anyway. #canberrasews#oliverands#fieldtripraglan#stoffandstil#cosmiccircustigers
Had a lovely day at the @theknittingandstitchingshows at @yourallypally yesterday! Picked up a few treats for myself: gorgeous fabrics from @stoffstil, the latest sewing pattern from @tillybuttons and some carved wooden blocks and inks from @theartycraftyplace to get back into block-printing onto fabric.✨ Now to decide what to make first...
New fabric package arrived from @stoffstil brown sweatshirting with bats and grey jersey with glittery eyes. The race is on to get them made into something before we move - still don’t know when that will be but sometime early October most likely, & I’ll be very sad if I don’t have a new Halloween outfit this year.
Edit: & Jon has already bagsied the bat fabric for a hoodie - there go my plans. It’s the first time pretty much ever he’s asked me for something realistic with sewing though, so I’m not too miffed. 😢😢😢
Mal schaun was daraus wird.
Damit endet auch schon unsere letzter Tag in Oslo. Morgen geht es weiter nach Trondheim.
#sewphotohop day 4 signature style and these are the patterns that are my TNTs along with a fabric in one of my favourite colours - everyone should have sparkly belly kittens in their wardrobe right? 😸 #sewover50#stoffandstil

My most favourite city on earth 🌏 Copenhagen.
I used to live there during my exchange semester and trying to return regularly ever since. For example for fabric shopping.

New blog post: My latest sewing FO, baby joggers in geometric print jersey (which you may recognise from my top). I used a @stoffstil pattern, which was a very different style of working that I'm used to, with pre-cut pattern pieces in a fixed size. Very happy with the result! My sewing machine is in the sewing machine hospital now so no more projects for the moment, but I've got some lovely new fabric and many plans for it.
This is my Kalle Shirt made from a really soft viscose from Stoff and Stil. When finished it I was unsure if I liked it but since then I’ve worn it almost daily so it’s ended up being a winner. So light and airy, perfect for this hot weather! #kalleshirt#stoffandstil#sewersofinstagram#sewer
