This little still life and a few others are off to the South Wellington Art Show @southwellingtonartshow. The exhibition features lots of local artists and I'm so pleased to be included. Opening 31 August.
A bit of a throwback today to this piece from past spring. I realized I never did post the full Apple painting and for some reason I enjoy being able to scroll back on my IG feed... almost like a visual portfolio or diary.
This piece is available on Etsy but because of the size shipping is available only in Canada 🇨🇦 “A Good Apple”
24x30 inches acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

Still life oil painting of peaches by William Mason Brown (1828-1898) who was a second generation Hudson River School artist. The back of the frame has a label from the Braus Galleries of New York. Available from Kelly Kinzle. www.kellykinzleantiques.com
I have had many quiet moments lately...since the boys started school (can I get an amen? 🙌). I’ve reflected on what I am missing. Isn’t it crazy to think how you can have so many physical things or even have your schedule chalked full of have-to’s and still be missing the point?? What in your life have you overlooked? 🌿
I invite you to take a few minutes (as I am) to check yourself. Re-route your plans...dedicate some baby steps towards happy and who you are meant to be. Join me this week in a little cleaning house and finding those things you should and will say no too...to leave room for what’s to come. God has some mighty things in-store...I’m hoping to make room for it all! 🌿
@Bloomingdales was the authority on American interior design trends in the 1950s. We are pulling back the curtain on the woman responsible for this home decor mecca - Barbara D’Arcy. We unearthed her 1973 Book of Home Decorating (gracias @ivanlmunuera) to revive her best interior styling tips - like doubling down with a still life that “repeats the fruit of the painting.” Link in bio for more.
