Wet Weather Plan B, or not... Part of the Birth Walk objectives is to instill a sense of adventure in the birthing mums. Especially for first timers facing the pain of the unknown, you need all the courage you can muster. Today was a pretty good intro.... We started off at 0815 hrs, from Seah Im Food Centre, up Mt Faber and across to Hortpark, finishing at 0930hrs, a marked improvement from previously. I commented, Yeahhhh fitness must be improving and we're definitely on track for a great birth! Hi5!
So when I suggested we walk back to Seah Im instead of going forward as usual, that might have been a teeny weensy mistake? Upon reaching the Henderson Waves, the sky darkened and hikers were seen scrambling away to shelter. So what did WE do?
March right towards the storm of course! 😂
Soaked from tudung to shoes, water running down my face and spectacles, we had the last 500m to descend. Suddenly one uncle came up and said, "Cannot go! Fallen tree.. " So what did WE do? You guessed it! (it was either that or walk all the way back again) *** Disclaimer: Of course lah, I tested the whole thing first, did the climb twice then guided my client over. I don't fancy my head chopped off by a furious hubby, hokay.. *** Safe and sound, we laughingly squeezed out our soggy tops, headed to the MRT unrepentant, planning to pack ponchos the next time.

In my life had I ever felt, let alone SEE my muscles. I am still in awe when I feel my hamstrings. I never knew how it felt to be strong and gain muscle. Is this you? If so, it’s time to STEP UP YOUR GAME! Time to be more passionate about your health and fitness.
Is it going to be hard work? YUP
Is it going to be easy? NOPE
Is it going to be worth it? HELL YEAH!
Its not going to happen overnight BUT with commitment, dedication and consistency all GREAT things happen. It has not been easy, and I started very slow, but steady. I showed up every day even if I had to modify or pause for a minute...or five LOL! I am in a better position than I was in last year, but I’m not done.
Although you see me now - my results and my constant showing up -what you don’t see is that I also have struggles, I also need accountability and I also sometimes don’t want to workout or eat right to fuel my body the way it needs to be fueled. BUT the difference between me and most is that I made the decision that I WON’T GIVE UP. I show the F%#* UP! Everyday! Even when I don’t want to because I know that all this work, sweat, pain and suffering is so much worth the one you can’t take back like illnesses, health issues or wasted time.
So I want you ALL to get up, make a decision, and start working on you today. Don’t make it the same ol’ New Years tradition you say every year but then only keep for one month. Create healthy habits NOW! Why waste precious time when you can look and feel great for the Holidays.

Day Three: Cardio Core
Yesterday I said how I mentally felt better and was ready to tackle this full on.
Anybody who knows me, knows I have a deep faith and I pray over everything. I know I can’t get through hard situations alone but I know my God is faithful and will carry me through.
Today’s workout had a move that usually trips me up. I have to slow it down a bunch as it’s repeated often. Today - I conquered it!! I actually thought we had another round of it and was surprised when it was over!
Yesterday I was mentally confirmed and today I was physically affirmed! I CAN do this!! Is it going to be easy? Nope! Will I want to quit some days? Sure. Will I? Never!
I am so grateful God brought this into my life all those years ago. I don’t know where I’d be physically today has He not. Despite this really rough road I am on right now, I can still do hard things.
And call me crazy but I’m already looking forward to the next workout. Because I want to feel that good again!
