Some mornings when that 5am alarm goes off it’s really, really hard not to snooze and just stay in bed. But then I do get up, make a coffee and head out with a friend for a 7.5km walk with the dogs.
I love going with a friend so we keep each other accountable and we always have a great laugh and chat which is such a great way to start the day.
But I also get to see such a beautiful part of the morning as the birds are waking and the day is beginning and it’s all worthwhile.
How do you start you day off?
Being”healthy” is not just about what you're eating 🍎and doing for exercise 🏋🏻, it’s also about what you're thinking and saying to yourself.
Start your day with a positive affirmation & get your head in the right frame of mind (especially as we head into this busy week). I know it can be kind of weird to do 🤪 and not always easy to think of something - be kind to yourself, respect yourself and thank yourself for all that you do!
If you're willing, please share your affirmation below! 👇🏼
I’ve never had any surgeries before, not saying a tonsillectomy is terribly severe, but it was severe enough for me 😖ouch!
BUT the silver lining has been me getting to stay home all day long with this adorable, snuggly, squirmy, baby boy of mine 😍
So even though I’ll have memories of pain, I will also have great memories of love and joy with it ☺️ Starting to feel little better everyday day! 👍🏼❤️ #tonsillectomy#toooldfortonsils#iam1stphorm#cullen#duespaid#healing#family#love#stayingactive
Sometimes you need to take a step back to see how far you’ve come . . .
Day 1 of my 1st at-home fitness program I probably spent 28 of the 30 minutes laying on the mat and complaining to my husband, saying “I can’t do this.” Feeling defeated 😕, out of my element and laughing even at what the modifier on my TV screen was doing 😆
I remember thinking there was NO way I’d be able to keep going especially with a 90 day program.
Who did I think I was?!? The most exercise I had done in the prior 6 years was an occasional Pilates or barre class. And this felt like a huge challenge - I didn’t like things that were HARD. I wanted “easy” but yet I also wanted results! 🤦♀️ Luckily I had my husband to encourage me to keep going plus I was curious to see what Day 2’s workout would be like . . . . 😜
By day 30 the 30-minute workouts had become a habit and weren’t so hard 😊 I was getting stronger day by day 💪🏼 and by day 90 I felt GREAT, dropped a few pant sizes 👖 and wanted to keep the journey going.
Here I am almost 5 years later 👍🏼 The strength I’ve gained is more than physical.
I’ve learned that you CAN do hard things . . . . even when you think you can’t. . . . you just need to TRY!
And if you have someone cheering you on, it makes a world 🌎 of difference.
After my 1st 90 days I wanted to pay it forward and share my journey with others but also be everyone else’s cheerleader 📣 to encourage them that you CAN DO IT!!! So if you are missing support or accountability, look no further, I’d love to be your guide and help you reach your goals. 🙌

#gameon 🎾The minute we pick up 💩 in the backyard Sonny gets major pep in his step. Only last year he averaged 20+ throws before tiring. Now at 14, he has slowed down to 4-6 throws. His energy is still there but when exercising his breathing is rough... Instead we changed the game a little.. more throw sessions throughout the day. This way he stays active and happy with needed rest in between. Don't let the slowing get you down! #14yearsold#moreballs#stayingactive
