According to research, our brain is bombarded with the equivalent of 34GB of information each day.
If you would store 34GB of data on your computer each day - you know what would happen.
Same goes for your brain.
You can't possibly store all this information.
So your brain has created filters so it can process just the right info for you.
You have many filters.
One of the filters is your beliefs.
You have many beliefs.
Beliefs that work in your favour and beliefs that don't.
Beliefs that help you move forward, to keep things simple, I'll call "good beliefs".
Beliefs that hold you back, that don't serve you any longer are the so-called limiting beliefs.
A good belief: "Eating healthy is nice and easy."
A self-limiting belief: "Eating healthy is boring and hard." Whichever one of these two beliefs you believe and thus hold to be true - your brain will use that filter to process your daily data overload.
It literally will filter evidence from the outside world to hold onto this belief.
And that, of course, as you can imagine, creates a domino-effect in your life.
Your beliefs are connected to your capabilities, skills, behaviour and ultimately how you feel!
