The Practicing Photographer Challenge Week 44 of 52!
This week is “Using Photoshop, create a star trails photo”
This has been a really stormy cloudy and busy week for me, so to really keep up with the challenge this week I couldn’t possibly be out at night hoping for a single moment this week to capture cloudless stars....the storms have been rampant here in Florida.
So how I get to do this challenge if I can only perform the editing technique? Back in March I tried my first real astrophotography session on the beach on a clear night, and rummaging through those pictures I was able to find a set that allowed me to pull some trails out of it!
In the future when the weather becomes nice again for this type of photography, I will intentionally set aside some time to get a typical star trail circle shape that comes with the revolution of earth, but seeing the perspective of a trail from the horizon line was a pretty fantastic idea!
