Tonight at dinner in my ashram I sat next to a woman in her 60s. She has a daughter the same age as me. We bonded over travel, vibrant living, and adventures she had in her 20s. She asked me what my work was back the US. I told her I did lots of different jobs and that I didn’t dive into a day job or career path after college. She said, “I think that is absolutely perfect. Let me give you some advice I think young people need to know...
Just work enough to finance your dreams.
That’s all the really matters when your young. I have seen so many people at this ashram so full of life. They are exciting to talk with and be around. That is what the world needs, more people to just follow their bliss. Whatever that is, it makes the world feel uplifting when you’re around people that are so happy and enriched following their own bliss. ”
This conversation was so special to me.
She has never seen my blog or Instagram. She knew so little about me but gave advice that resonated with me so deeply.
