It is a Dirty #Chai kinda morning. ☕ Sleep has been an elusive thing since about 5 months into my pregnancy. First it was discomfort, then night feedings and new mom anxieties... but now those excuses are long gone. #Spicebaby sleeps really well (and has for quite some time) but still I wake through the night and sleep so lightly sometimes I'm not sure I've slept at all. 😴🐓😴 The one good thing poor sleep has donel?? Made me LOVE my morning cuppa more than ever before. Treating myself to a warm, creamy Dirty Chai (chai tea and coffee latte!) almost gives me the power to transform back to my morning loving self. Almost.

There you have some prices... .you have to keep in mind that an euro is roughly 5 Turkish lira... don't know the exchange course today... I heard that the Turkish lira depreciated due to political reasons.
Food is very affordable and can be very delicious in most places. You just have to be careful in the crowded places or touristical area where they have images with the menu that you can eat and you don't see the food before ordering...keep in mind McDonalds * note at the bottom of a photo, written in small letters that said: the photo is not contractual...😁 The food you will receive may not have the same ingredients or quality as the one shown in the photos...

Let us take your tastebuds to the islands of Italy and discover Focaccia. A flat bread that is known and loved in Italy and everywhere else. Topped with olives and drizzled with olive oil, Focaccia is the perfect side to many meals or as sandwich bread. Ciao 🥖
Rosemary and Olive Focaccia
Basic Bread Dough:
4 cups (600g) flour, plus extra flour for dusting
1 sachet (10g) instant yeast
1 tsp (5ml) salt
1&1/2 cups (375ml) lukewarm water
3 Tbsp (45ml) olive oil, plus extra for greasing
1 tsp rosemary
1/4 cup each black and green olives, pitted and sliced
50ml olive oil
1 - Lightly oil a 30cm x 25cm baking tray and line with baking paper.
2 - Mix flour, yeast, salt and rosemary together.
3 - Mix water and oil together.
4 - Mak a well in the centre of the flour mixture and add the liquid while mixing slowly to form a dough.
5 - Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
6 - Place in a clean bowl, pat with extra olive oil and place in a warm spot to rise until doubled in size (+- 1 hour).
7 - Knock back dough
8 - Cover base of prepared baking tray with dough and set aside in a warm spot to rest for +- 15 minutes.
9 - Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius
10 - Poke dimples into dough using your fingertips.
11 - Sprinkle with olives.
12 - Whisk water and olive oil together and brush over focaccia.
13 - Bake for +-20-25 minutes.
14 - Remove from baking tray and cool on a wire rack.
15 - Serve with good olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
