When the morning starts with rainbow skies, you know it’s gonna be a good day.
Daydreaming about excuses to get upstate again...
This is only the beginning.
Items on my bucket list: 1) Own a kayak. 2) Have lakefront property. 3) Combine them and do this daily.
Don’t worry. I’ll catch you. 🍁
This place is gorgeous any time of day, but I’m partial to mornings.
When I’m not here, I’m daydreaming about being here.
If only this season weren’t so fleeting. This was October 2016. It was absolutely perfect.
Crisp cool days and colors like these. 🍂
Better than a cup of coffee first thing in the morning...okay, maybe not. Let’s say they’re tied. 😏
Suitable lakeside reading.
Throwing it back to a misty morning by the lake, when (despite my fear of spiders) I came across the biggest most beautiful spiderweb string from a tree along the water’s edge. This thing was unreal; like something out of a cartoon. It was just so perfect.
Not many things can surpass the feeling a jetty fire.
Follow the pine-laden path.
That time of day where the sun always hits this corner in such a coy way.
Oh sorry, I wasn’t listening. My head is somewhere else...
Just a little obsessed with these post office boxes.
When it rains, it pours. 😉 All the more reason to cozy up with a good book by a roaring fire....made by yours truly.
Even when it’s not a “good sunset” it is still a good sunset.
Adirondack ambiance, circa 1965.
You see what you want to see.
I will take you everywhere and anywhere.
It’s no coincidence that I love the color green.
One of my favorite spots in the whole world.
And it burns, burns, burns...
Looking forward to another day of hauling things out of storage, cleaning and arranging in my little shop. Each day brings re-discovered treasures, fun creating displays, meeting new people and total exhaustion at the end of the day. Life is good!
Some people fantasize about beach sunsets. Me? I always picture mountains.
The definition of cabin in the woods.
A roadside attraction like no other.
Nothing makes me happier.
They call it Lake Pleasant for a reason.
Watching the clouds go by.
No other sunrise can compete with an Adirondack sunrise.
