I was just so excited that’s all!
I’ve been training so hard for the past 4 weeks trying to increase my running speed and today I retested myself doing a 7klm time trial.
Not only was it more windy than last time trial, it just seemed to tougher. My legs were tired from a run last night and my mind wasn’t ready for today.
Well guess what...... I blitzed my time! I took an entire 15 seconds off my avg pace! For those not in the running world, that’s huge!
Well it is for me! 🏃🏽♀️💨 So all those days I didn’t want to hit the pavement or the trails, or the times I cringed at the interval sprints , it’s gone and shown that if you want something bad enough, if you truely want it, you find a way, you find the time, you become dedicated to your cause, and you don’t give in.
This is just the first step to my improvement before World Champs. Next 4 weeks I take it up another notch. And this result in such a short time has given me the boost I needed woohoo!
In a weight loss journey everyone I’ve ever known gets so frustrated about particular areas of their body not dropping fast enough. They want the stomach gone, or chest gone, or their arms bigger. And they are so focused on that one are not changing that they lose sight of all of the progress they are making. The thing is with weight loss you can try to focus on one area but it doesn’t really work that way. You shouldn’t let it discourage you. Everyone is different and loses weight in different ways and different areas at different times. You just need to keep working and eventually you will get where you are going as long as you never give up. Today I ran my first evening race ever. Waiting all day to run was excruciating. I had no idea what to do with myself. Usually I wake up early and go race. Not today. Tonight's race was a 6k trail run. There were tacos at the end. That was cool. [Results come out tomorrow]
