We recently had the distinct honor of being a jacket sponsor for @spartan at their recent #ultra race event in Iceland! With Spartan athletes traversing the 30+ mile course over 24 hours in the bitter cold and strong winds, our jackets stood up to the harsh elements for their staff, keeping them nice and toasty as temperatures dropped 🔥. Last set of heavy deadlifts of phase 1 of @mindpumpmedia MAPS performance. 5 sets, building up to 275lbs. Felt like I had alittle wiggle room to increase, but staying conservative to focus on consistent form. Overall feeling good, gonna miss you next week, heavy deads! 💪🏻💯

All I want for my birthday is a #spartanrace Is that too much to ask for?! 😂😂 I made it a goal exactly one year ago to complete my first Trifecta before I turned 30. On Nov. 3 this year I completed that goal. This year was truly one of the hardest years of my life. With the support of friends and family I have really grown and am on the road to being mentally and physically healthy again. @spartanrace was one thing that kept me focused on healing. My mental state was a mess but knowing I had a goal to reach and running these races continually reminded me of my mental strength. These races pushed me to the brink of exhaustion and I kept going. The community rallies behind you and the energy helps move you forward. I am so blessed to have found these races and be apart of an amazing community. I can’t wait to reach my X2 Trifecta and to do a competitive wave in 2019. MIS 4 FUENTES DE PROTEÍNA PREFERIDAS
Hay muchísimos vegetales con una alta cantidad de proteína, por ejemplo, todos los del grupo de las legumbres o los frutos secos son una magnífica fuente proteica. En este post me gustaría contarte cuales son mis 4 fuentes preferidas y por qué.
Es rico en proteína de calidad, fácil de digerir, me encanta su sabor, es prebiótico y combina en multitud de platos (salteados, arroces, ensaladas...). Si fuera un poco más asequible lo comería a diario, pero me contento con 2-4 veces por semana. Mi receta favorita: filetes de tempeh con 1kg de patatas al horno
Son ricas en proteína, se cocinan en poco tiempo (especialmente las rojas) y quedan bien con todo. Personalmente me flipan cocinadas al estilo hindú, con sus especias y arroz basmati
3️⃣ Yogures de soja
Me encantan porque como postre son una forma ideal de añadir entre casi 5 y 15gr de proteína extra a cualquier comida
4️⃣ Mantequilla de cacahuete
No podía faltar. La consumo con fruta, en porridges de avena, añadida a los batidos o cuando se me va la cabeza, bañando dátiles con ella. Por supuesto, si te gusta la peanut butter te recomiendo encarecidamente que pruebes la nuestra de @veganfitstore, seguro que te encanta ❤️ ¿Alguno de estos alimentos es tu fuente proteica preferida? ¡Dime las tuyas en los comentarios !

1️⃣ PERFORM the workout in a ladder (just like the song The 12 Days of Christmas)
Round 1 = 1 rep of movement 1
Round 2 = 2 reps of movement 2 + 1 rep of movement 1
Round 3 = 3 reps of movement 3 + 2 reps of movement 2 + 1 rep of movement 1
And so on and so forth all the way through the 12th Round/12th Day of Christmas .
2️⃣ MOVE fast and push hard through the workout. Remember who you’re doing this for!

To all of those Spartans that conquered that brutal Beast course (including some friends of mine), congratulations! That shit was tough. To my boy, The Nard Dog (@andyconwy ), congratulations on your first race, I had a lot of fun watching you fly through those obstacles. @spartanrace forgot to announce the Honor Series and Mountain Series schedules, but they’re both available on their website. Absent? The US National Series schedule. YAWN 😴 More delayed “announcements” that aren’t even getting announced anymore. Don’t hold your breath for a National Series schedule “announcement in 2018, guys. 😑😒😡🤬 #SoFrustrated
#WorkoutWednesday Another proud #brother moment. This week we increased the distance adding an extra km to the #ninja mini #OCR circuit. Managed to increase our pace and run 5.2kms with 50+ obstacles in 34 minutes. 10 minutes faster than last week. @leo_32022 finished 5 mins after me but that is still 5 mins faster than last week for him with more distance and he failed only one obstacle this week.
I am confident he will be fine at his 5km @truegritaustralia event. It is a shame he is too young to do the full 10km I feel the 5km might be too easy for him come September.
Next week we repeat the distance but go for a sub 30min 5km with obstacles time for him.
Been waiting (seems like forever) for the VA to get the paperwork for a new socket done. @hangernews got the paperwork this morning, called and got me in today! Thanks guys, now that’s how it’s done! I’ll finally be back to full training soon.

One of my favorite obstacles and one I actually enjoy is the Multi-Rig. Love the challenge of swinging through and there’s so many different ways to conquer it. .
