No filters. No need.
I notice this hankering for many of us, including myself, to add colour, smooth out the rough edges and enhance what is. Make it bigger and better and brighter.
As if we have to magnify beauty to be able to recognise it.
Make it extraordinary to be worth a look.
So today I'm exploring natural beauty.
Just allowing myself to have my breath taken away by the magical colours of the ordinary day.
The soft pink of dawn that my iPhone camera doesn't quite catch, but which adding filters to only has the effect of removing all subtlety and nuance.
The liquid gold clouds stretching out over the dark lake on the ranch where the ducks are getting their equivalent of my morning coffee.
It is what it is.
It is simple.
It is extraordinary in its ordinariness.
And it is enough.
Happy ordinary day darlings.
What magic can you find in your ordinary day?
