Coming home today! 😌⠀
I won't be there until late, but I still plan to go see my girl. I kind of wonder what Cate will think, either super excited or acting like she has no clue who I am. 😂 I guess we will see. 💗
I got dat 🤑😆

(Don’t mind my horrible arms at the end lol)
Soooo crazy story, like super wack. We went to the small local horse show we got to every month, it stared pouring. My trainer was at a barrel race up in Vancleave so she said “Yea yea come up here, it’s a good run for Savannah (Me).
So, since we were sitting in the car already with Athena loaded we were like “Ok!” So we head there. In all honesty I’ve always done horse shows. I’ve been to a LOT of Barrel races but never competed, just watched my trainer. (Which is still awesome) so basically, this was my first barrel race. This was also the first big thing we’ve brought Athena to. Her run won me $23, 2nd in the 5D. Yea, I know, the first barrel was just...horrible😂 But when you come out of the gate, it’s kinda hidden so Athena didn’t see it quick enough and we went to far before turning. Super proud of her third barrel and the fact that she didn’t break down on 3rd or 2nd. Yea, we ran a 21.174 but hey, we will improve. -

Planning the last of my seed sowing for this year. I've not had much success with spinach this year. I've grown some beautiful baby leaves but nowhere near as much as I'd have liked... I really struggled with germination through the crazy heat we had this summer. .
The past few days I've really noticed the temperature dropping... Today is the Autumn Equinox, where daylight hours are equal to that of the night. I'll sow these seeds today and plan to start picking leaves within 60 days, hopefully sooner. .
Im feeling the season slowing down... The calling to rest and reflect. One day perhaps this equinox will mark the time of year that I close up shop, lay down my tools and enjoy the years bounty through winter... .
For now though, I'm still growing, still learning, still appreciating all the lessons. There's still work to be done on this journey I've found myself on...
Is anyone else still sowing seeds?
Last weekend's ride was more of a rodeo. As in a big 'ol helping of sprinting up a hill with a side of small bucks thrown in for good measure kinda rodeo. I take full responsibility - I just wasn't hearing what she was telling me! So this morning, instead of another ride, I decided we needed some time to just...be. Hanging out, shoulder to shoulder, taking in the world together. And it was heaven. #blessed#shesteachingmesomuch#horsesofinstagram#sorrel#farmlifebestlife
Alright friends and folks. After the big move, I'm finally making sorrel again. This shall be the christening batch for my new kitchen and I'm excited y'all. If you're interested in purchasing a bottle, don't be afraid to dm, message, or text me.
