I would like to introduce you to Tami. She is my new adopted doggy sister.
My humans adopted her last weekend. She is an 8 month old German Shepherd x Jack Russell pup.
I guess that makes her a German Russell?!...... Or maybe a Jack Shepherd?! …. Or a German Jack…. Stop! I here you say. Please comment below with what you think her cross-breed name should be.
She's pretty cute don't ya recon? Especially those ears!
I've been a bit grumpy this week at having another hound in my house. That’s strange! But I'm kinda getting used to her now. Not that I'm showing it too much, but I like her and I think we're going to be great furiends. She's lots of fun.
She had a sad start to her life. She was born in Romania and was abandoned as a very young pup. Luckily though, she was found in a field by a farmer who took her to an animal shelter. At this point in her life, she weighed a mere 0.8kg.
After a short while she was relocated to the UK by @rommie_rescue_sussex, an animal rescue charity based in the UK. They are working tirelessly to bring as many dogs from Romania as they can so that they can find their "forever homes". Once in the UK, Tami was placed with a lady who as it turned out, was not able to look after her long term. After 11 weeks in her first home and a further two weeks with a foster family, she's now with us and she's settling in very well. She's got a very good temperament and I'm in the process of teaching everything I know! 😂😂 She’s a bit camera shy so my photographer was lucky to get this picture of her.

India 🇮🇳: This is a Sati memorial site for the Kings and Queens of old, located in Bhuj. Sati, was an old practice in India, where widows would burn themselves alive in of their husband’s pyre. The practice is ancient one and has been banned since 1829 (first banned in Bengal) upheld by the colonial-era laws and subsequent state laws issued by Indian royal families, and then finally a nationwide ban issued by Queen Victoria.

This week I got a bee in my bonnet, as you do, and decided I had to go find me one of those cool lobster trap Christmas trees! So @parigby and I ventured out to Gloucester on a blistering cold night to check out their much loved trap-tree on Main Street! Since 2001 local lobstermen donate 350 traps to build the 45’ tall tree which is decorated by over 400 buoys painted by the children of Gloucester. When the tree comes down in January those buoys are auctioned off as a fundraiser for Cape Ann Art Haven. What a great tradition, and SO New England! #lobstertraptree#christmastraditions#coastalchristmas
