This is #mykindoffun Never really made having fun a big priority. I just like to be. And for me nature is what I seek. I’m def not anti-social, I’m just not that socially oriented. So I created this yogin way of life, solitude, quiet, old habits.... It’s dark now, I will go out there and probably sit for a couple of hours in the hot tubby. It;s 100 gallon ag tank, so it’s pretty much only a winter thing, when I have water to spare. Do you see the steam!!! Now the stars are out. I think about astrology and how the stars and planets have an effect on us. When I soak in the light the energy, i think that that is one thing we haven’t altered. Same as it always was before humans tampered with everything. It is something to sink into that ancient energy. #bliss#soloshow can’t really hang with the drama. But I still love you... i so do!!!!! Hope you all have a beautiful evening.
Last night, Maiden Speech Festival closed at the Tristan Bates Theatre, and with it, my debut play “Hear Me Out”. It took me nearly 3 years to write this play, and it is one of the most terrifying and difficult things I’ve ever done. I cannot fully express how grateful I am for every single person who came to see me tell this story. It’s been incredibly overwhelming and an unbelievable relief that people listened and understood. I’m still in shock that I actually achieved what I wanted from creating this show. I think as women we are taught to be quiet and humble and not shout about our achievements for fear of being considered vain, but I am prouder of this than I’ve ever been of anything else I have written, directed, or made. No person is an island and I do not care if the following is self-indulgent and wanky but I think it’s important that everyone knows that I absolutely did not do this on my own and therefore, some thanks are in order. “Hear Me Out” is my third collaboration with my theatre soulmate Lucy Foster, and being the writer in the room with her as the director has been a surreal switcheroo but by far the most fulfilling. She has given me courage and strength at every stage, and has breathed life into these words in a way I never could have done on my own. Enormous thanks also to Alice Fitzgerald for her invaluable dramaturgical support, to designer Alice Stephenson for her beautifully inspirational set, to our technician and stage manager Lily Willden for making the pretty lights and sound and for keeping me calm (or as calm as I was gonna get) as a performer, and of course, to the impossible woman Lexi Clare, who produced and production managed 15 shows and a kick-ass festival, who worked harder than I’ve ever seen anyone work to give us this platform to tell our stories. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
There’s a much longer list of people to thank but it’s too many characters for an insta caption 🤷♀️
This is happening tomorrow! LAURA is coming to @sohotheatre at 20:30! It’s my debut one woman show that I’ve been doing for almost two years and I took it to Edinburgh Fringe this year, where it got shortlisted for Brighton Fringe Awards for Excellence and received 5 star reviews, following the transfer to one of my favourite London venues - Soho Theatre as part of Soho Rising festival! What a dream! We’re down to ‘last few’ tickets on the website, hope to see you there! 💖 Many thanks for this trailer we shot back in 2016 to Philipp Morozov
Undoubtedly the most emotional and sensual night of my life...cause my dream came true and I was living the most powerful moments. Those feelings cannot be explained in words. Still feeling it inside of me...
Excited, happy, glad, blessed, impressed, stunned and thankful at the same time. Smiling, singing and dancing for 4 hours with goosebumps all the time. And crying out because I've never felt like that before...
Forever ON MY MIND & in my heart❤
💙Thank U & Love U, Don Diablo💙
P.S.: Your music is not just a sound or a melody. It's something totally special for me that makes me feel high, every single track!🎶👑💎 #dondiablo#futurexl#amsterdam#soloshow#hexagonians#event#party#music#thebestnightofmylife#outofthisworld#feelings#moments#forever
