Hope you enjoy a little snapshot of my painting process. This is a cropped section of a large octopus painting I’m working on for my upcoming solo show, “Oceans Amiss”, which is opening September 7th from 6-8pm at the Sheraton Bay Point Resort. Hope y’all can make it! It’s going to be an wonderful event featuring brand new originals on sale to support the great cause of local conservation efforts.
• Cerberus •
Tomorrow night marks the offical opening of my solo exhibition Cerberus @moderntimesau ! Join me from 6-8pm at the gallery space— 311 Smith St, Fitzroy.
As found in the background of this photograph by @suziappel_photo the Cerberus is and will continue to be a pinochle point of reference for my life and my art practice. It feels quite poetic to connect this body of work to the presence that this ship holds within my world, literally and metaphorically.
On August 15th and 16th from 12:00-3:00 I will be receiving visitors at the Sill House Gallery at Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT. I will provide tours and answer questions about my work or ceramic processes in general.

Adébayo Bolaji’s psychological canvases are coming to London in September and will be shown at PUBLIC gallery. It will be his first solo show with the gallery.⠀
His Basquait influenced canvases are rich with references to his personal history, as well as cultural notes from his Nigerian heritage and home city, London, Bolaji’s colourful and animated canvases unfold organically from within. His process can be characterised as a kind of liberating play in which his emphasis on following and trusting the line as well as his instinctual choice of colour is fundamental.
