Hello IG Pals...i have been quiet for a bit...sniffling and such. Yep! Got a cold. So I have been hydrating, napping and did some sewing today. Before I drop off for the nite, I wanted to share my new sock #caston 🤗
...must be close to finishing a different sock...
I ordered Knitting Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush and these will become a pretty pair of Yarrow Ribbed Socks using #unwindyarnco Sport "So This is Love" ...indeed! 😍😍
First show progress on my #strictly2018socks ! One sock cast on and half the ribbing done. I got distracted A LOT plus this 1x1 twisted rib is slooooow going. Changed from magic loop to short circulars after a few rows as I was getting a lot of laddering. Will definitely need to download all this week’s #strictlyittakestwo AND the podcasts for the train journey to Yarndale next weekend!
🍂Happy Autumn Equinox🍂
I hope all of my friends are having a blessed autumn equinox! I absolutely love the fall. It ushers in a time when the veil of time starts to thin and shadows begin to grow long. Colors shift, weather cools, and our reality changes.
Here's my finished #waternymphsocks test knit for @thishandmadelife. Are they not just so beautiful? What a lovely fall day to wear them for the first time. 🍁 Hope your Saturday has plenty of tea, knitting, and all the things that bring you peace and joy.
I'm all ready for some casting on later 😊 (I'll be watching on catch-up) for my #Strictly2018Socks ✨💃 I couldn't find a glittery project bag so decided on the brightest one in my collection instead 😎
Huge thank you to @scruffydogeco for the cutest little stitch markers that arrived this afternoon too 😍
Welcome to our new weekly feature, Socks on Saturday! Since Ewe Ewe Yarns now has Fluffy Fingering in the merino yarn lineup we can make all the wonderful socks you can imagine. Yay!
Each Socks on Saturday will highlight a sock pattern that you can use to knit yourself a pair of socks with Fluffy Fingering yarn. Today we’re starting with our latest collaboration with Meaghan Schmaltz of @notsorryknitter.
These adorable Stripe It to Me socks are knit from the cuff down. They highlight the contrast between a neutral (shown in Wheat) and a pop of color (shown in our new Iris Blossom!). The color work is simple since it’s all worked with stripes and slipped stitches, no pesky stranded knitting in these! Find Fluffy Fingering in a yarn store near you.
