It’s that time again! It’s November and the time when we start thinking about Thanksgiving and hopefully, what we’re thankful for. I posted about gratitude awhile back and hoped to convey the idea that it should be a lifestyle and not just thought about once a year. Anyhow, Thanksgiving is drawing near, I wanted to reiterate the thought. Having a lifestyle of gratitude creates an environment of positivity. Thus further influencing the possibility of events/situations/things to be grateful for. It’s a positive, upward cycle of you will. What’s your favorite quote on gratitude?
He didn’t give me roses, fancy jewelry, million dollar dates - but he gave me his favorite book with a handwritten note as a bookmark - more my style.
Falling not only describes a fantastic, edge of your seat novel, but also my exact state of being.
Forever Falling in love with books and now with him.
I spent 3.5 hours doing this today. The worst part of this program is recording clinical interviews (therapy) and watching them with the class. I just want to be done.
I’m getting tired. Thank God for the ladies that I have met in this program. They keep me sane. ❤️#socialworker#msw#imtired#itsalmostover#quittingisnotanoption
Every one of us was born with an ability to feel, to hold, to experience the sensation of, and to ultimately radiate JOY!
The reality is no one is immune to human pain and suffering.
Everyone has emotions and they are your superpowers when used correctly!
There is POWER in each of our Stories that give a ripple effect changing our world in big and in small ways.
We each have a LIGHT within US that cannot be Destroyed.
You can’t even destroy your LIGHT.
We only end up covering it, getting out of tune with it, or fog descends to hide it from us.
By Mid-Life, maybe earlier our Emotional Pain Body will be wrecking havoc on us emotionally, physically, relationally, and financially unless we commit to doing our work emotionally, physically, and nutritionally.
To experience more of the elevated emotions of Love, Joy, Gratitude, Abundance, Wisdom we must be using our emotions of Anger, Sadness, Grief, Fear, Anxiety as tools and resources.
Every emotion has a specific purpose.
Learn how to use them and you’ll be ready to face the irrational fears, shame, unlovability, rejection, pride, unworthiness, brokenness, and guilt that the EGO/Defense Mechanisms protect.
The path to healing and to wisdom is amazingly messy.
Emotions are never logical they are emotional.
We must feel our way through and then logic comes.
It is so worth it.
You are worth it.
Don’t Avoid, Defend, Numb, or Deflect your way out any longer.
Many of us are walking through life surviving instead of thriving.
Some even find themselves more like zombies zoned out. On a road trip staring down at the floor just waiting until the end not looking up and breathing in the view. Missing it all.
Reserve Your Seat on the best Road Trip especially made for You! YOUR LIFE!

I added this cute pic of the hubs & I to our Christmas card tonight & I am totally missing traveling. 😩
These past couple of years have been packed with a couple of work trips & then trips to the beach with family & friends. There is absolutely no trips in the foreseeable future & this girl is bummed. If you have any tricks on how to survive an entire Minnesota winter (9 months.. for reals) with nothing to look forward to, send them my way. 😂😩🤷🏼♀️ #firstworldprobs#ijustliketotravel

Growing up into young adulthood, I was "populaire" like my college step team captain would say. :) Yet I always remembered my father's wise counsel, it's never good for your name to circulate so much whether good or bad. At the time, I begged to differ. I was nice to everyone I met & naturally racked up hundreds of friends in church, college, & the community at large.
As I matured into my 30's, I began to understand what he meant. If you are known for being a "bad" or "mean-spirited" person, people will speak negatively of you. If you are known for being "good", you are still guaranteed enemies because there are inevitably people who will always be offended by your happiness.
So in no way should you hide under a bushel, in an attempt to avoid enemies. "As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." (Marianne Williamson) there is someone out there who is inspired by what you are doing no matter how small it may appear to be.
People can and will suck the life out of you. Listen, I have been tired many times & wanted to give up. Yes, me give up. But, how could I let down that sister who looks up to me, or who wants to talk to me about her problems, or just needs my help writing a paper, budgeting, or figuring out how to handle her child?
You cant give up, you must keep going. Hey, they don't all have to like you or like what you are doing. But you MUST believe in you enough to keep moving. Don't STOP sis! DON'T Stop! You got this!
This is the second day of my November challenge group and my challengers are KILLING it!
I love the support, motivation and the love these ladies are giving out.
It's so refreshing to be a part of a strong group of women who are empowering each other instead of tearing each other down.

We do not judge.
We do not give hate.
