TGIF !!! Lil snuggly fam sesh before boys go to bed. 😁🤗 They've literally been tearing into each other for 3 days. 🙄 Rib tries to scratch and claw Ps face off, P retaliates by biting. Hard. 😫
After some (many) discussions, Chaun and I started devising a plan for this weekend to separate the two of them for awhile. See if that helps .. & then I remember P going thru his last biting phase. He was approx 18 mos and *drum roll* getting molars! So I stuck my finger in Rivers mouth and sure enough - those damn molars are just about to break thru the gum!! I have this theory about pain (it's not even mine) when we hurt, we (lash out and) hurt. P is naturally a calm, kind, giving soul so when he started to get violent I knew there was a message there somewhere. & I was right. The same goes for Rib. And me and you and everyone.
If you're on the receiving end of some lashes - check your assailant - are they harboring & hiding some form of pain? Make wise choices of whether to help them heal or protect yourself.
It's so easy to punish kids for lashing out. It takes patience and an open mind to tune into the messages they're sending you & how to truly help them.
Can’t believe how close we are to getting to snuggle this little (or large, rather) beach ball of a baby! Still feels unreal. Until I try to walk long distances, and then I can’t breathe, reminding me how real this really is 🤣 Super happy with my decision to not shop many maternity clothes this time around, btw. Working on a blog post soon for you on all my tips and tricks for dressing through pregnancy! http://liketk.it/2xkVU #liketkit @liketoknow.it #LTKbaby#LTKbump#LTKunder50 @liketoknow.it.family @liketoknow.it.home #messyhouse#girlsclub
