We tried to go to the Smithsonian solstice astronomy event tonight, but the astronomy part ended up rained out and the kids were beyond museum excited. So we ran down the Mall in the warm summer rain under shifting clouds and it was a beautiful night.
fifth stop on our honeymoon + dc was inspiring [and hot!]. from stopping by donald's house to give him what for [we actually saw him wave during a motorcade too], to standing in the shadows of the monument, to wandering around the air + space museum, to taking in the awe of abraham lincoln, to walking the entire length of the mall, to viewing the capitol up close, to duckling chasing, to admiring cézanne at the national gallery of art, to seeking out a great dive bar, to viewing all forty four presidential portraits, to surviving the 90%+ humidity. five cities down. ❤️
