All weekend I was running around so much it just flew by! apparently today is clean my house day because I'm on a cleaning rampage. 🙃 once I start I cant stop til it's all done . anyone else this way? I feel like I'm crazy 😂
I totally should have let Ava draw the reindeer for Luke’s Christmas sweater day at preschool. My rendition looks like a demon reindeer. It may be tacky Christmas sweater day but we can’t be having that. 😬I’ll stick with photography and let her, Miss Visual Arts, do all the drawing and painting around here. If I can muster the courage, I’ll share my tragic interpretation of Rudolph in stories.
This kid gives me more anxiety than should be allowed, and legitimate gray hairs. Any sanity I had is long gone. But he also has a smile that will melt your heart into a thousand pieces, asks for hugs constantly, and tells me “I wud you mommy” a hundred times a day ❤️ #sourpatchkid#colejennings_

Loving this sweet family picture! Chris has been my friend for a couple of years since we worked together in college, and I’ve gotten to know Kayla along the way. Chris surprised his wife with pictures! How cute is that? He made sure to give his wife enough time to pick out outfits though.
Anyone else totally melt over dads with their babies? This one totally got me because it was really the first time he had gotten to hold his 3rd son. Right after their sweet boy was born the two older brothers and daddy all caught that awful cold virus floating around. So they had to sacrifice any baby loving until symptom free. So, naturally this was just precious to witness. And then after all of the cuddles and kisses that little boy pooped all over his dad...just breaking him back in nice and slow 😂 Dad was a champ about it though!
I’ve had the honor of photographing this sweet family since it was only 3 of them. I photographed biggest brother, Joseph, on the right when he was a baby and he was missing Daddy who was deployed. Then we welcomed Dad home from deployments TWICE. Now they are a family of 5! This is the best part of what I do - getting to grow with families and share their most precious memories with them.
For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. - 2 Corinthians 1:20-22
i’ve been getting up before 6 with my husband lately and i’m surprised how much i like it. he leaves for work and then it’s nice & quiet. i can get a lot done (or just watch a movie & shop online 😆) and nothing beats the glow of the christmas tree in the dark. i’m typically the sleep-until-the-last-minute type so we’ll see how long this lasts, but it’s amazing what a little quiet time does for a mom. ♥️
This in-home, lifestyle Christmas session for little Riley was so much fun 🎅🏼✨
The last time I saw Riley he was a TEENY TINY newborn with trousers nearly bigger than him and now he’s doubled in size and was giving me non-stop big cheesy smiles😍 I love that I getting to go back to the same families & document the different stages and see how much they’ve grown and change (plus I get lots of baby cuddles so who has the dream job???🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️)
We were laughing so loud I think we scared the fish away (sorry fishermen). But seriously, this was such a fun shoot with S&T! We froze our toes off, did multiple outfit changes and they almost hip checked each other off the dock 😂
For real though, I want my sessions to be fun. I want them to be memorable. I want my clients to be able to look back afterwards and relive the experience with joy, and excitement. Because if I just tell you to stand and smile, how boring would that be!
