“This is our first meeting in person. We spoke on the app first, and I worked out Sam was the perfect fit for what I needed. We’re just going through targeting at the moment, Sam’s helping me increase traffic to my supplement website to help drive sales. I’m good on the development side but often need help so outsource other things. It’s great because I can keep focussed on what I’m good at, which is making sure the product works and we’re fully stocked.” - Jason

Forget about the HOW - and FOCUS on the WHAT and WHY
It’s important to make your WHY toward something and not to get away from something…
Type YES if you agree?
Keep track of how much time you're spending on tasks! So many people I talk to can't identify where their time goes 🤦♀️
You could be wasting a lot of time on unproductive items. Use a tool like Toggl - free time tracking software @usetoggl ⠀
In order to take control, you need to start being deliberate with your time 👌⌚️

I am completely lost without you and honestly, I can hardly remember how I even survived before I had you as my constant companion. .
You teach me, you guide me, you make me laugh. And best of all, when I’m reflected in you, I’m more beautiful than I’ve ever been (thanks, Insta filters!) .
Anyway, cell phone, I’m sorry I was careless with you, you didn’t deserve those cracks I caused when I stood quickly, forgetting you were on my lap…and I never should have let my little one chew on you
I promise I still love you. What was life even LIKE before our cell phones?

⚡️⚡️NEW VIDEO COMING SOON⚡️⚡️
Sorry guys, I’ve had some personal issues I’ve had to work through, and Monday’s video is late.
Don’t worry, it will be out today!
What the heck does dessert have to do with My Biz Gal?! See how lovingly I’m staring at that dessert, how happy I am? That is how you should look at your business - and your life. What you do should make you happy, and should make you want to do more of it (although I don’t recommend eating dessert every other day 😉) Why My Biz Gal? Because it makes my soul happy, and it aligns squarely with my purpose and values. I want to inspire and support others to be the best that they can be because, well, why the hell not?!
Something scary just happened.
My son just got his DRIVER’S PERMIT.
How is a 15-year-old boy expected to drive around town near other drivers AND pedestrians?
And how am I to come to terms with the fact that it seems like yesterday that I was doing the exact same thing?
Can someone #rescue me? Tell me it will be okay....

Something I hear so often. "My audience isn't on social media" 2.2 billion monthly users on Facebook alone, and none of those people could be part of your audience? Videos on Facebook alone get & billion views a day of which 20% are on live video. Just digest those stats and realise, your audiences attention is on the thing in your hands right now, so start talking to them there. If you fancy a chat about how you can do this, drop me a DM.
One of the greatest lessons I've learned about Marketing as a small business owner is that it's not 'one-size-fits-all' and there is no 'one-and-done.' Truthfully, I used to think that, because of my background in marketing, I didn't have to follow those rules. You know the ones I'm talking about...interviewing your target market to determine how to market better, reviewing results and tweaking/fine-tuning to improve results, etc.
I was doing the exact same crap I tell my clients not to do! Throw up an ad and don't bother checking on it.
Sure, I could blame the whole "cobbler's kids have no shoes" thing...but realistically, I've always thought that was BS! What better advertising do you have than how you run YOURSELF!? Exactly!
So I started watching.
I watched my posts to see which ones got the most engagement and analyzed why.
I watched my ads to see what kinds of pictures and copy vibed the best with the audiences I was/am targeting.
I watched how other people put up websites that I liked.
I watched how I reacted when someone tried to market to me, and then analyzed why I reacted that way.
And somewhere along the way, my marketing skills have soared! The last ad I ran got one of my highest engagement scores (and response rates) EVER!
I'm building a new website for our upcoming GROW Retreat 2019, and this skillset I've spent the past two years honing is really showing up in a big way! I'm no longer struggling to figure out how to get my ideas on the page or how to best represent the event to my target market!
Honestly, it feels great!
What's one of the biggest lessons you've learned over the past couple of years?
I always love this statement as it brings up so many different opinions
But here’s my opinion on the subject for years il told myself money didn’t matter, be grateful for what you have, I was always broke when I thought this
The minute I switched to put money as a priority, I switched to make it important, I switched to make it vital everything changed for me, .
I was happy because I feel secure .
I was happy because I was prepared financially for emergencies .
I was happy because the financial stress on my relationship was gone .
I was happy because it gave me freedom from someone telling me if I could watch my kids sports day depending on staffing levels .
I was happy because I was not restricted when i could go on holiday, I chose when where and how long, not a staff rota .
I was happy because there’s no arguments over lack of money .
I was happy I had food in the cupboards that was healthy and good for my children - eating healthy food is expensive .
I was happy that I didn’t have to miss out on dinners, day trips and holidays with my family
I was happy I had money to invest in opportunities that would just create more income .
So while they say money doesn’t buy happiness what it really buys is choices, multiple choices which makes us feel happy knowing we no longer feel helpless, worthless, sadness. .
So after reading my option do you feel money buys happiness?
Yesterday was an amazing day as we finished the #WinterCreativeFestival with a full day yoga retreat hosted by Amanda from @soulcoastyoga !!!
With myself, @amandaviviers and Brooke from @kentstreetdeli presenting to a room full of local women on how they can reset and realign themselves with productivity and motivational tips, resilience and the power of writing ❤️⠀

Kia ora world, Jess from My Biz Gal here. It’s a pleasure to meet you. We are brand, spanking new - a virtual assistant service with a twist. The perfect blend of personal and digital business assistance with a specialisation in marketing and communications. It’s hard to put your faith (and some of your business) in the hands of a complete stranger, so over the next couple of weeks, we’ll introduce ourselves properly. Then it’ll be time to get to know you.
Do you have a blog post (or two!) that's been bouncing around your head for a while but you're too busy running your business to get it on the blog? That's where I can help! Most blog posts require research to be done (I can do that for you), then they need typing up (you can record your voice and I can transcribe it), then they need a proofread and edit before posting (I can do that too). So you can get your blog post up in a fraction of the time you would normally spend on doing it, therefore leaving more time for you to grow your business, or relax 😉 the choice is yours😀

One simple word that we don’t say often enough. Have you ever experienced someone who really made you step back and take notice? You know the kind of person I’m talking about. Someone who loves their job, goes above and beyond, and takes joy in serving others. I believe that this inner joy comes from living life with a grateful heart and inner peace. This week I encourage you to face your week head on with a grateful and gracious heart. 💕 I personally want to start my week off by thanking our small yet mighty newsletter subscriber friends who read the weekly newsletter. I appreciate you more than you know. 😘 If you haven’t done so already, please join us every Monday. The link is in my bio. Let’s make this week really count, friends!
Say hello to my assistant Sammy. Anyone else actually excited to get back to the office tomorrow? I have four calls scheduled for morning and lots of client work to do. 👊🏼 I spent all weekend implementing a new CRM. Anyone else use Dubsado? I’m excited to see how my clients like it.
What does your Monday look like?
On Tuesday, @mkwgraphics (co-author of @startupguide.biz ) is going to be leading a discussion on branding in business. Myself and @righthand.businesscoach will be sharing our thoughts and experiences as well. Also, free pizza! The event is at the WeWork downtown.
Two little words that speak volumes.
So simple, positive and valuable ... in our personal and professional lives.
If you need your courtesy messages managed for you, contact me to find out more about how I can support your business from my home office.
HOW MANY TIMES A YEAR DO YOU DO THIS? 👇🏼
UPGRADE YOUR BUSINESS .
Every Quarter I sit down and upgrade something big or a few little things. .
Because that's how you build an amazing business, that keeps growing and keeps getting better. Plus when I hear the words were coming back again it was amazing!
When they come back I want to make sure they are amazed all over again .
I’m literally sat in the edge of the pool, feet dangling in the water, notebook & pen In hand. I’m watching my kids play a game and upgrading my business
Don’t tell yourself any excuses why your too busy to do this, do this today!
So. Here’s a scary thing. This bod hasn’t seen a pic in a two-piece since I was pregnant (I love pregnant bellies in bikinis SO much). This body. I have punished it, deprived it, hated it, enslaved it, forced it, twisted it, and said unspeakably mean things to it. I’ve fed it garbage, I’ve fed it...nothing. I’ve given it to mean people in exchange for what I hoped would be love. But here’s the thing. Somewhere along the way, I got a lot more serious about doing the lifelong unpacking work around the really important shit like fighting the racist patriarchy and being worthy of being called an ally, like boundaries, like epilepsy awareness for my son, and like making cool shit with cool people. And all of that just seems so much more important than one woman’s belly. If you hate your body today, I still love you. I love you extra. This is me. I’ve birthed two hilarious, creative kids and two angels whom I think of every single day. I’ve built businesses that matter. I’ve made an impact. I take up space. In this photo, amongst the chaos of diagnoses and mental breakdown and real estate, I just found a few seconds of peace. I stripped down because I didn’t want to ride home in wet clothes. My husband who has quite literally loved me at every size took a photo while I was laughing at funny shit. And now I’m posting it. And I’m crying while I write this l because...Body, I’m really sorry. None of the dumb shit I did was your fault. Thanks for faithful, unwavering service, for Pigeon Pose, for good hair. Sorry about thongs. Those are dumb. I wish I’d know my bikini line would extend to my goddam knees from 35, on. But, we cool. Body by tacos, by coffee, by dry shampoo, by heartbreak, anxiety, and resilience. Anyway. If you hate your body, I feel you, I love you. May you someday stand in ice cold water in a two piece while someone who loves you snaps a pic to remind you that you’re going to be okay.
