Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how awesome press ups are?! One of the first things I do with most new clients is get them progressing on press ups, and here’s why ⬇️ 1️⃣ - they’re a great exercise for strengthening most of the upper body; shoulders, chest and triceps mainly with benefits for your back and stomach muscles too!
2️⃣ - When a lot of my awesome clients come to me they tick one (or more) of the following boxes:
“I’ve got no upper body strength”
“I’ve never used a gym before and don’t really know what I’m doing with exercises”
“My weight/ appearance has me thinking negatively about my body and I’ve kind of given up on it and myself, I just want some confidence back”. That last statement is the tough one, and the main reason I encourage press ups - they’re hard to do, so it’s nice to see their faces when they’re reminded of just what their bodies are actually capable of 💪🏼 3️⃣ It just looks awesome when 4 weeks after never setting foot in a gym you can rattle out 3 sets of 10 press ups and they look like this!
The best dinner in a long time. Cajun Chicken & Chorizo Stew slightly adjusted from a @bbcfood recipe.
The rainbow of veg is the base to pretty much everything we cook. Packing in the speeds.
All free and speed food except chorizo (4.25 syns per serving based on 4 portions) and sweet potato fries made in the @tefal_my Actifry. These are my favourite and I could happily eat them every single day. Beats oven cooked hands down!
