#TBT to a late June "job" shooting with #iFit on the #Slickrock Trail in Moab. I put the word job in quotes cause sometimes it seems crazy I get paid to ride bikes and take pictures of people riding bikes.
@916tacotruck is always telling me what to do 😜. Pretty invaluable having guys like him and @mjonags32 with you on the trail. Need a spot? Already there. Rocks stacked? Already picked em up. Winch line manned? Done. Sitting here missing last weekend at #slickrocktrail with the #tacomaworld#dbb crew. Can’t wait for the next one!! #offroad#camping#wildturkey101hurts @kceastsparks 📷
Looking back to a midsummer sunrise video shoot on Moab's #slickrocktrail trail with @ifit and @larissaconnors. That was one of the most challenging and rewarding gigs I've had. We worked at least 12 hours every day with temps well over 100 degrees and I had to shoot around the video crew because they were doing long, one-take clips. My get out on the trail, find a location and get the shot quickly was critical to getting the job done. Working with world-class athletes like Larissa doesn't hurt, either :-)
Excellent weekend of slickrock trail biking, rock exploring, hiking, & hanging out with family! Thanks for the hospitality, Kody & @kbjah! And thanks for some of the pics, @brihendersonphoto! We had a blast!
When you are riding last in the group, you have the advantage of seeing eveyone else approach something that looks difficult. These three made this look way easier than I expected. The video doesn't do it justice to let you know just how steep the hills are. It's also amazing how much traction our bikes have on the rocks here.
