I struggled with moderate-severe insomnia for almost 2 years before I decided to bring it up in the doctors office. She sent me off with a few different prescriptions. YAY! I was finally able to sleep for up to 4 hours at a time. This was huge to me, absolutely life changing when I was used to only getting about 2 hours of sleep if any every night.
Once I was finally sleeping through the night with the help of meds, I noticed I was still groggy and forgetful during the day, a side-effect of my prescriptions. SO, although I did feel much better, I still wasn’t up to par, and knew I wouldn’t be, until I found a way to sleep sound without Xanax.
By practicing good sleep “hygiene” such as no electronics an hour before bed, going to bed at the same time every night, avoiding naps during the day, avoiding substances that interfere with sleep (alcohol), I was able to cut way down on taking my sleep med, but I still needed it a few times a week. That is UNTIL I tried Sleep+.
I am so amazed at how quickly I fall asleep with this supplement and stay that way until morning without the “hangover” feeling I was getting with my meds. Ya saben que es muy importante dormir las horas diarias que tocan (unas 7-9 horas para una persona adulta). De esta forma, nos levantamos descansados y con mucha más energía. Pero sí que es cierto que es más importante la calidad que la cantidad. 💤 Cuando no dormimos lo suficiente, se dispara la hormona que estimula el apetito y la producción de grasa, que hace que nuestro cuerpo recibe el mensaje que de que necesita más energía y tenemos más sensación de hambre‼Así pues, dormir bien ayuda a perder peso. 😴 Para conseguir dormir bien, es importante cenar de forma moderada y no tener digestiones pesadas. Evita sobretodo las cenas muy grasosas, pesadas y azucaradas..También puedes tomarte una infusión relajante para ayudarte a descansar bien. La manzanilla es una muy buena opción.
Además, ¿sabian que…? La postura que tomamos al dormir también influye. Si duermes en posición horizontal se aumenta la circulación sanguínea del cuerpo, por lo que facilitamos la eliminación de líquidos.

I’ve been dutifully sleeping for at least 8 hours per weeknight and 9 hours per weekend night. Overall, it has been blissful.
This month, I’ve been logging the most hours sleeping since my 21-month-old son has been born. The extra sleep is leaving me feeling wonderfully well-rested and alert during the days. I feel healthier, calmer, and more energetic. Based on my experience, I highly recommend you treat yourself to some extra sleep as well.
I’ll definitely call my sleep challenge a restful success. But my results aren’t perfect. Truth be told, I want even more sleep.
Looking back over my sleep log, it shows positive, but somewhat mixed, results. I’ve been contemplating my findings, and there are about ten things that have come to mind over and over during this sleep challenge:
It's tough to overstate how important getting good sleep is. Don't let those wanna be entrepreneurs lie to you. Giving up sleep to "grind" isn't helping you one bit. Instead, get a solid 7-8 hours every night and then attack the next day with extra productivity an focus. You'll get more done than you would've by staying up late the night before anyways.

I still can’t quite explain how it felt to just stop ✋. And I mean stop 🛑 everything that I normal do (and plan to do in my mind) being a mum, a full-time working professional and running 🏃♂️ (or trying to run) a business. It was hard for me to just relax (like really hard - I am always constantly thinking of what to do next even when I look completely calm 👀), but I learnt some mindfulness to help me relax and also discovered my love for water 💦. Whatever it takes to help you relax, whether it be doing your nails 💅, a massage 💆♀️ or a trip to Paris lol. Do it!
