Delicious three meat plate (kalbi, teriyaki chicken, and chicken katsu, with mac salad, and rice) at Andy Puefua’s @kokonutislandgrill! I also sampled the tuna poke, and it was REALLY good. Ok the apple slushie from @rowleysredbarn is SO GOOD! We were so sad because the day we went they were out of the apple cider donuts, so one of you will have to go this Saturday and tell me if they taste as good as they look! 🤤
Eating in Utah: Banbury Cross Donuts. Since this is right by our favorite Korean/Oriental Market, we are always tempted to grab a few treats from this place. Today we couldn't resist and got sprinkle donuts for the boys, and then I tried their non-donut options: Orange Roll, Bear Claw, and Sticky Bun. I love that they are solid but simple flavors and nothing too sweet. The baked sticky buns had cinnamon as the real star with a light simple caramel to keep all those delicious pecan bits on top 👌The Bear Claw was that traditional shape, fried, glazed, had the chocolate center, and then dusted with a lightly sweet cinnamon mixture. It was the moistest of the three. Then, the baked Orange Roll was a fresh and sweet orange filling and drizzled with icing. Discovered this amazing Jerk Chicken Quesadilla with Avocada Salsa, and delicious Ting grapefruit soda, at @jamaicas_kitchen at the @thehubfoodtruckpark in South Jordan! A bit off the beaten path to their traditional goat curry, and beef oxtail, but oh so worth the visit! If you’ve ever been, you probably know why I’m raving about this appetizer. —————Chopped yam and red onion cooked over medium-high heat until the onion softened. Add chopped bell peppers. Once softened, stir in the mushrooms. Spices: Red pepper flakes, salt, paprika, and oregano.
Then there’s the roasted chicken, ketchup, coffee, and grapes (yes, those are in a flounder-shaped bowl gifted from a 5-year old 🐠🤷🏼♀️).
Rise and shine, it’s coffee time! ☀️☕️ •Last week, we tried out a whole in the wall shop in downtown and loved the overall experience. Here’s some quick pro’s and cons: ✅PROS (coffee and location): The coffee experience was great. The way they craft their coffee and show in an artistic way made it a lot of fun. We also really liked the location, it was hard to get to at first, but once you found the place you knew where it was cus it was packed! ⚠️MUTUAL (size): So, I believe this coffee place is actually a full time coffee shop and part time brunch spot, so I’m calling size of location a mutual. However, there’s really only 15ish tables here, so it felt pretty dang packed. ❌Cons (grub): Unfortunately, the food wasn’t great. We sat right next to the kitchen and could hear the chef calling out orders and really enjoyed that experience, but once the food came out it just fell a little flat. 🚨FINAL SCORE:
Overall Experience: 6.5/10

I was bummed for about a second when I realized @camposslc changed their menu this morning but I quickly got over it when I saw this. Smoked Salmon Benedict 😍 @yourstrulyjohnnydollar thanks for hand modeling and sharing bites, even though I know it takes every once of self control to not smack my hand away. I’m confident he ordered the house made chips to put between us to stop my wondering hungry gremlin hands. 😬😅
