I tend to find that the best sunsets are those which provoke a variety of feelings, thoughts and deeper reflections. It is one of the rare moments, where even in the presence of others, it is socially acceptable to gaze out, contemplate and marvel into the distance in complete silence, alone in one's thoughts, yet joined together by an intricate scene of unfolding vibrant colours and textures. Spent in good company, last night's display will definitely be watermarked in my mind for a while to come...

The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.
It's wise because it's true.
When I was still drinking, I and everyone around me tried everything under the sun to make me quit.
I tried prayer, meditation, moving, cutting people out.. they tried daily BAs, weekly UAs, AA, counseling, pills, ankle monitor, jail, rehabs. NOTHING worked. It was only a matter of time before I found a beer in hand and vodka in my nalgene. Once. Again.
Then along came Scott. Lol
What a mess we were in the beginning (and still kind of are 😂) BUT once we were engaged he sat me down for "a talk" 😬
He told me how much he loved me, how talented he thought I was and that we could have an awesome future together but we couldn't have ANY of it if I continued to drink. ⚖
That's when it clicked. I saw a future. The future he was describing gave me a reason to do something insanely difficult and gave me something to fight for.
And boy is it a fight!
I'm coming up on my 2 years 100% sober soon and I am astonished at what the future turned out to be... way more than I had envisioned back then.
So what is it that that you need to change to make a better life for yourself??
Envision it, everyday. You have to believe you can make a change for the better and work hard towards that dream. Don't just fight old behavior because it'll keep ya stuck.
If you could buy a private island, where would it be? 🏝
For me, the Exumas would be high on the list. The dreamy ocean views are right up there with Fiji, NZ and the Maldives.
My neighbors would be Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, who own a private island pretty close to this here sandbar, and Johnny Depp, who bought his tropical slice of heaven in Exuma after filming “Pirates of the Caribbean” back in 2004. 🏴☠️ Also David Copperfield has a private island nearby, which you can rent for a mere $57,000 a night. 😳
If the whole private island thing doesn’t work out, however, I am totally cool with living in a tiny hobbit home. 🏠
Fortunately, it doesn’t take a whole lot to make a Sarah creature happy.
This man-made structure mimicking a far away mountain after a life long destruction. Man-made or natural one day we will all be part of this ecosystem as fossils. Earth will grab everthing and make it part of nature. In the end it doesn't matter who made you, where you are from and how rich are u with paper in your pocket. .
