Er, me apparently... Learning double unders at #crossfit & it huuuuurts. I need to get better at this so I look less beaten up! Tips please if you have any...

A mix of singles & a couple of Dubs inbetween, an alright start 🤷♀️ Managed to string 4 dubs together at one point too, which is canny as I’ve not tried these since I started CrossFit. On my last attempt I nearly whipped my own head off my neck & figured I’d put them on the back burner for a bit 🙈
I can confidently do 00’s of singles, unbroken & fast (one of my only proficient skills ha) & feel fine after. A few dubs & I legit can hardly walk today! Absolute calf agony!

✅ 30 secs straight skips // 30 secs squat jumps
✅ 30 secs skipping jacks // 30 secs lunge jumps
💟Rest 30 secs💟
✅ 30 secs crossovers // 30 secs alternate plank up downs
✅ 30 secs high knees // 30 secs tuck jumps
Rest 1 minute then repeat 3-5 times 🔁
Don’t forget to warm up before and cool down after your workout! 😅💦

Great training sessions this morning!! 1st with @dazrhodes at the @hunslet_club boxing 🥊 if any 1 is looking to do a bit of pads or learn some technical you couldn’t find a better bloke to spend an hour of ya day with, enthusiastic and passionate about his trade and a top bloke!! .
Followed this up with a tasty wod with me good pal @tomsnothappy & the newly found @anthony.mcnally4444 (jury still out on this lad as can squat a tonne but can’t skip) @formleeds a great place to train with top lads to carry me through to a 240 cal total!! Cheers guys 🥂 🎄.

Do you have a daily cardio target? I do and here is how I meet them.
My aim is to do 2000 rope jumping (single unders) per day on my day off including weekends where possible.
*********************************** 2000 sounds like a lot, but when broken up into smaller numbers at regular intervals, it suddenly become achievable!
In each of the frame in this post, I did approximately 100 unbroken rope jumping, that is total of 500 and this took 6 mins including breaks in between each 100 jumps. ************************************* It is called HIIT for a reason, the interval is to allow you recoup and go again, subjecting your system to a repeated but regulated cardiovascular actions. Hence, take a longer rest and come back for the next 500, and the 2 additional 500s after adequate rest in between, and yeeeee you smash you daily goal! ************************************** Summary, don't be scared to set the target but work with a plan.
The end caption translates : success is a result of small efforts day after day. Even though we only may achieve 000000.1% of our goal by doing something to achieve that goal in 1 day. It is the accumulation of that small percentage that will make all the difference as the months and years pass. There is no competition.
