This contraption is a jade roller and it’s been a huge game changer in my skin care routine.
The jade roller is a tool that is used to promote youthful skin and is great for lymphatic drainage, puffiness, sagging skin, open pores, discoloration, wrinkles, firming and toning.
Some of the improvements I’ve noticed since using this everyday include:
- less puffiness around my jaw
- brighter clearer skin
- less skin congestion - tighter skin under my eyes
And also massaging your face with this every day just feels so good!
I got mine from @beautiful_because For $36 which is so much cheaper than most serums/ moisturisers that claim to do the same thing the jade roller does... also the this will pretty much last you a lifetime if you look after it properly. I do put a skin oil like rose hip on before I use the roller but you can use coconut or olive oil if you don’t want spend lots of 💰 on skincare.
I’d love to know, have you used a jade roller or something similar before? How did you find it?

#skintip "Just because you’re 40,000 feet in the air, doesn’t mean you can get away with not applying SPF. UV rays are much stronger because you’re closer to the sun." Tracey Beeby, Global Education Ambassador recommends applying “a good protective daily moisturiser with an SPF of 50+ before your flight that will last up to 24 hours as a safe measure."
Ultraceuticals Global Education Ambassador Tracey Beeby, shares her top #skintips with BEAUTYcrew to avoid dry and dehydrated skin during a long-haul flight.
CE Ferulic ayuda a #PREVENIR el daño causado por la exposición a rayos UVB, UVA, los infrarrojos y la polución. #SkinTip : Aplícalo siempre en la mañana y compleméntalo con un protector solar. #SkinCeuticalsCL
It's so easy to get swept up in telling yourself you're lost. When your heart is directing you to EXACTLY where you want to be!! We suppress and suppress and suppress... Pushing these feelings away because we're worried about how f&^%ing powerful they are!! Start listening... Notice what you hear...
I often get asked what the correct order to apply skin care products is. The golden rule is thinnest to thickest! Keep in mind water soluble products should be closest to the skin and emollient products like moisturizers should be layered on top to seal in those ingredients. . CLEANSER
☀️ : If you have dry skin I don’t recommend cleansing again in the morning. Go straight to a spritz of toner!
🌙 : This is when you can use your cleansing tool like Foreo. Or perform your double oil cleanse . TONER - I always recommend NON-alcohol based toners.
☀️ : In the morning spritzing the skin is a great idea to add some hydration before other skin care products. 🌙 : In the evening it’s a good idea to spray toner on a piece of cotton and wipe your face to make sure any excess makeup is removed. Also, if you are using a treatment type toner with salicylic acid for example, swiping your face with cotton is best to avoid the eye area and apply an even thin treatment layer. . SERUM
☀️ : Vitamin C, a hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid or a calming serum if needed is ideal for the day time. 🌙 : There are some ingredients that can make the skin more sensitive in the sun like alpha hydroxyl. An active treatment serum is ideal for the night time like a glycolic acid product, retinol or acne treatment. You may also re-apply a hydrating or calming serum if you aren’t using a treatment serum. . MOISTURIZER - My favorite types of moisturizers contain vitamins, antioxidants and/or peptides for the day or night. I LOVE face oils in place of moisturizers as well, especially for the evening. . EYE CREAM - A rice grain amount for each eye is all that is needed! . SUNSCREEN ☀️ : Sunscreen moisturizers are wonderful too if you don’t want a separate SPF. I always recommend a mineral based zinc/titanium product and at least an SPF 30. Sure there are many brands of makeup that contain SPF, but you will get a more consistent even layer with a skin care product versus makeup. Plus, often makeup only contains UVB protection - not both UVA and UVB. . If you would like a specific product recommendation or have a product application question feel free to ask me! .
Summer Skin Care Tip: DON'T forget to moisturize Immediately after your showers. Pat dry to remove excess water. Damp skin is more receptive to lotion, so it'll absorb quicker while creating a barrier that locks in moisture and keeps your skin hydrated longer. #SummDerm#SkinTip#Hydrated#SummerTip#Dehydration

Don’t forget your scalp and hairline when applying sunscreen! They’re the most sensitive spots on your body when sunburned. Next time you’ll be out on the lake all day or doing yard work without a hat, make sure you apply sunscreen all the way to your hairline and then spray some on your scalp. #Sunscreen#SaveYourSkin#SkinTip#SummerTip#EnvySkinClinic
I have been asked a lot about the Microneedling procedure. Also known as: collagen induction therapy. ♦️ So here's some FAQ about Microneedling
WHAT DOES IT DO? The tiny needles on the pen or roller, creates controlled micro lesions & micro channels in the skin, allowing much more stimulation of collagen & elastin fibers & deeper absorption of active ingredients. Which will stimulate skin rejuvenation & tightening; reduce scars, acne, pores, skin pigmentation and stretchmarks. Also boosts hydration! ♦️
IS IT NECESSARY TO "BLEED" ? For treatments that needs collagen & elastin such as rejuvenation, scars & stretchmarks, definitely! Our blood has growth factors which are substances that will stimulate collagen & elastin. However the "bleeding" is minor, there is no injury to the skin ♦️
DOES IT HURT? No! We apply a good numbing cream prior to the procedure to offer comfort to our clients :) ♦️
IS ONE SESSION ENOUGH? Within one session, depending how your skin responds to the treatment you may be able to see improvement; however, a few sessions is recommended. (4 weeks apart intervals) ♦️ I hope this post has answered some of your doubts and questions. And if you need further information, please feel free to contact us📞

Failing to protect your skin with sunscreen can actually be worse for acne-prone skin. Excessive UV light can accelerate the rupture of inflammed follicles under the skin, thereby spreading the p.acnes bacteria and worsening inflammation. Just be sure to choose a sun protective product that has been designed for use on the face to protect from UV light and also treat the skin (look for ingredients like Vitamin B3 as valuable inclusions for breakout prone skin). TIP - Age Defence SPF50+ is suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone as it is non-comedogenic. #breakouts#skintip#skinstitut#spf#spf50#acne#skincareroutine#skinisin#loveyourskin#skingoals#results#rejuvskinclinic
Skin Tip Sunday: Sugar and other high glycemic foods cause your blood sugar and insulin levels to spike. That results in inflammation throughout the body - and puts you at risk or developing acne and other skin problems. ... But chronic inflammation caused by excess sugar consumption damages both collagen and elastin. Cutting sugar out of your diet is much easier said than done. Refined sugars are hidden in almost all processed foods. The ingredient list might not come right out and say “sugar,” but that doesn’t mean it’s good for your skin. Look out for corn syrup, dextrose, fructose - pretty much anything that ends in “ose”. #skintips
Story time: skincare journey...
Well growing up knowing my mother had(she's way better now) terrible acne..I always feared I'd get terrible acne just like hers...in my early teens I really didn't have any issues with my skin until I reached my early 20s when it all started ...it wasn't the worst but being fair in complexion, it was never pretty cause of the dark sports etc that I'd usually have to hide with make up.. Exactly a year ago (may be 11 months ago, not quite sure) I had gone to see my gp who also happens to have a certificate in dermatology( she did some skin course) did a (painful) procedure on me where she literally popped out every , I repeat EVERY pimple I had all over my face😵( my face was on fire, red and inflamed)😲😲 and told me to use a specific range of products, stay hydrated always and reduce the number of times I wear makeup and make sure to never sleep with products on my face..🤗 Today I celebrate almost a year of not wearing any makeup at all, all I literally have on my face on a daily basis is simply lipstick, shape my brows with a brow pencil and some mascara and that's it..On my skin it's simply day cream and SUNSCREEN..I, however am not saying I'll.never wear makeup up again, no, on special occasions of course yes..But on daily basis..I'm confident enough to just be with my natural self❤
Additionally I also do a bentonite clay mask twice a month which I've noticed helped cleared my scars as well...
This isn't a fix for your skin issues..I'd honestly suggest you go see a doctor first and sort out the underlying issues.
I know it sounds like common sense but 90 percent of people only wear sunscreen on their face even though the rest of their skin is exposed to the sun.
If you are wearing an outfit that shows off your shoulders or arms apply sunscreen there too.
It does SO much more than moisturize!
“I have only been using this balm for about a week, and I have already noticed a HUGE difference. Dark under the eye puffiness runs in my family and is something I have always struggled with. Since starting to use this, I have noticed a HUGE improvement! My husband even mentioned it when we were on our way to church a couple days ago. And longer eyelashes that will actually stay curled?? Yes please! Love this product.”
