#SKINPROGRESS 😬My own personal experience for clear skin 1. Spots can be caused by hormones from within the body so medication was the quickest way to get rid of those boils. Different medication from the doctors can be prescribed depending on the severity. I was on lymecycline 2. Microdermabrasion helped clear my bacterial spots on the surface of the skin caused by sweat, makeup etc and gave my skin a clean and clear appearance. 3. I have now had 2 sessions of microneedling and that has definitely evened out my skin tone and reduced the size of my pores 🙌🏽 spots can happen to anyone any age so be kind, be nice and realise beauty is skin deep !!! #mystory#skinjourney#heretohelp
These first week are going to be my #day1#baseline photos.
On Tuesday I am going to post every week my #skinproducts and #skinprogress
My #skintype is dry and fair with small pores, and it is not sensitive. My skin issues are #rosacea#sundamaged#millia#moles and #blackheads . Wrinkles are starting around my eyes and under eyes
My I am currently using #M .A.C lightening cleanser and #Nivea 24 hour sun screen and the Q10 night mask.
I am currently adding 3 #theordinaryskincare#skincareproducts : %2 retinoids in squalance, 100% presses rose hip seeds, and AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution.
I’m not sure if these photos capture how bad my milia is, but I have about fifty or so spots and white pumps on each cheek. It’s really only noticeable to me.
Quick update on the dermatitis front. 〰️
Been taking a photo everyday for the last week of my face, so I can see at the end of the three month course of antibiotics the difference and hopefully improvement. But I am already seeing and, actually feeling a difference in my most affected areas. Also, remember, I’m not using any products on my face literally just hot and cold water. Apart from feeling slightly dryer after a shower I surprisingly haven’t felt out of whack not using products. I’ve been moisturizing the rest of my body as normal up to my neck with my usuals and aftersun.
#fact The biggest organ on our body: Our skin!
All of those less than great skin care habits will eventually catch up to you! 👎 We’re all guilty of forgetting to apply sunscreen or falling asleep with makeup on after a night out but it’s always a good time to start treating your skin! As soon as you enter your TWENTIES your skin gradually begins to slow down it’s collagen production. This is a BIG deal because collagen is what makes our skin appear supple and radiant. Remember, your skin represents who you are and is the first thing people see when they look or talk to you - wouldn’t you want clear, healthy and youthful looking skin? #skinbysb#progresspic#skinproblems#skinprogress#skinneedling#enzymepeel#hydrodermabrasion#loveyourskin#clearskin#skintips#facts#acne#congestion#glowyskin
For years i was using good, premium skincare like skinceuticals, DMK, nimue, etc and in the beginning my skin felt great but for years now, I’ve lost that loving feeling 😕I’ve lost that feeling of “oo! My skin looks and feels great!” So I was on the lookout for something new to try. Along cake R and F and that loving feeling is back! My skin looks and feels great! And What really excites about these products are there are so many before and ‘afters’ of people using it for years and their skin is STILL GETTING BETTER! How exciting is that?! That is just another guarantee in my eyes, that you will see results if you are using the products in the right combination, in the right order and in the right quantities. (Did you know all our products come with a 60 day money back guarantee?? Even if the bottles are empty! You won’t find that Myer or your beauty salon!)
Super unrefined, or “for the aesthetic” here, but I wanted to show these photos side by side. The first one, when I got in after the day at Longitude, had cleansed and moisturized. The other, from during the day wearing just some concealer mixed with moisturizer taken in a dark space. 🌸
I felt conscious of my skin throughout the course of the day, and found myself falling into the old habit of apologizing for wearing no makeup cause of my skin when speaking to people I hadn’t seen in ages. Annoying my friends asking for an update on the ‘hack’ of my skin as the day went on. But I also had moments where I was really carefree and didn’t even think about it. 🌸
What’s interesting to me is that I’ve two very different photos here, although my skin looked as red during the day as it did at the end. The portrayal I could give you via good lighting and angles is that my skin is fine and just has texture when in reality it’s red, highly texturized and dry. I’m currently boarding the plane heading on my holibops and won’t be wearing makeup. I’d be lying if I said I’m not anxious about going out with the girls and my skin looking like this. Cause I am. They’ll all be glowy and dewy and I ,well, won’t. But as I said numerous times on my insta stories yesterday, Im just gonna get on with it and enjoy my time away ✈️
Even my eyebrows improved lol🙀
No, but seriously, sometimes it’s hard to see your own progress. Especially when it comes to skin care, That’s why I’m constantly comparing photos. It’s a nice reminder of how far I’ve come, and it’s a pretty humbling thing when I see my stubborn scars and problem areas! I noticed that I have a few marks now that I didn’t even have before which is fine because spots come and go, that’s what makes being consistent and having a proper skin routine vital. Especially, if you have problematic skin like mine!
On another note, I’m loving my complexion!😌
CHANGING SKIN / this week we've focussed on change, and the steps we will take along our journey to healthy skin. It wouldn't be a Friday without posting some #skinspo pics, so we thougth we'd share a perfect example of the BIG differences that small changes and committment can achieve. >> swipe to see before >>

This 19 yr old male client initially came to us 2 years ago. He had some treatment and a naturopathic consultation, but he was not in the right 'head space' at the time and did not continue his protocol. Fast forward to late 2017 when he came back to our Clinic for help, this time fully committed and eager to start his skin journey. A protocol of Acnelan Peels, dietary changes, naturopathic medicines and his dedication to the program have all helped him acheive clear skin in record time. He says "I am so happy with my skin, it's totally worth the money and effort". Superstar client! 🙌🏼
Skin update : Acne, eczema or something else?
Those patches I’ve been documenting for the last 2 months have been spreading and changing. Duac doesn’t do anything, sucdocream just dries it out - when it’s already dry and flakey - it can’t be viral related since I’m on such strong viral meds already. So who knows, I’m gonna see if my consultant will see me earlier than August and throw her eye over it again. Skin is just acting up, my clear streak was good while it lasted 😂
Face & Body basics of right now. Even if your routine doesn’t seem to be fixing your current issue does not mean you should switch it up, especially if you suffer with skin the way I do, changing your products frequently isn’t always the best idea. My skin is acting up and I can’t determine if it’s acne or dermatitis so I’m sticking with my basic products and not deterring to stronger creams or products until I see my dermatologist

Why am I doing this? The answer for me is immediate gratification. It may have been triggered by stress; feeling my life is out of control, but ultimately I do it because I like the feeling. Doing things that are destructive or violent just because you feel like it is never a kind choice. It's selfish. There are tons of destructive things ppl do just because they like to, like bullying, or eating animals, or smoking. You have to ask yourself, is my immediate gratification worth the hurt I am causing? When applied to dermatillomania, I need to ask myself this daily. Why are you popping? Because I want to. ...but what u want to do is hurting you... So... What is the kindest thing for you to do for you? I guarantee that the good feeling u get from picking will pale in comparison with the good feeling of having clear skin. ✨✨✨💪❤ #dermatillomaniarecovery#dermatillomania#dermjournal#dermdiary#skinpicking#skinprogress#acne#skinpickingdisorder#excoriationdisorder#excoriation#dermatillomaniasucks
BEFORE AND AFTER / we like to end the week with a #progresspic and this time it is an anti-aging client. It's always easy to spot change in the acne before and after images, but look closely at these photos and you will see an impressive change to skin texture, skin quality and improvement in fine lines. Swipe to see the before photo > > > take a look around the lips, under the eyes and on the chin, where collagen induction through skin needling has made a massive difference to the skin. Mrs H came to us unhappy with her skin, as a keen water skier her skin had seen a lot of sun and was looking tired and older than her actual age. Three Skin Needling Treatments and targeted Medik8 Skincare helped Mrs H feel happier with her skin! We are delighted with the results 🙌

Skin Update 2/07 〰️
Still having fantastic weather here in Ireland, so I haven’t had a tap of eczema in weeks. The plaques on my chin and jaw are all without a doubt just acne. I’ve given up using antibiotic creams on them as it doesn’t seem to do much at all and considering I was on a round of oral antibiotics and didn’t see huge improvements I’m reverted back to some old fashioned ways of dealing with skin. So, my tube of duac has remained closed now for over two weeks, and the good old tub of @sudocrem has been reintroduced. 〰️
I know I’ve been giving prescription creams for the acne, but to be honest I’m tired of depending on medicated creams to clear it up when I’m seeing improvements from being in the sun and using a zinc based cream and just general better skincare,I think too it’s very hormone related but I can’t be certain until I actually go and get them checked. ☀️
Regardless, has anyone else noticed a improvement in their skin with the good weather?
