This morning I went to my first Matrix Core class @digmefitness It was 50 minutes with 3 rounds, each round had a circuit, skill mill run & a “finisher”. Sam gave lots of options & helped with technique too, a proper instructor! Cycling to & from made for a brilliant morning 💦 So if you’re holding back going because you don’t know what to expect, now you do!

The incorrect part of the movement is in the beginning of the video when all the resistance load is placed in the lower back and there is no support of the trunk of the body. When performing a sled push on the @technogym Skillmill; you want to have your body in a neutral spine position placed at 45 degrees (shown in the second part of the video.) Your head should be aligned with your shoulders, hips, all the way to your bottom leg. When driving your leg to the next step; it should be roughly at 90 degrees in front of you, engaging your hamstrings and glutes to allow your posterior chain to drive the movement. A great way to make sure your position is correct is to place a foam roller along the machine; this way you will know if your body comes in contact, the placement of your body is loaded too horizontal with all the pressure into your lower back. .
