Sure looks like ski season to me.
Or maybe it's just the fact that it for a few hours was below 30 degrees today and that this is the ultimate goal with all this kneehab. To be back to full send with @alxarmstrng, got some work to do.
I always seem to get bored road cycling and have a hard time getting motivated to go ride roads. Mountain biking has been the complete opposite. Always mentally engaging, a little scary at times, and my favorite part the rad views. Photo credit: @its_me_jmc
#tbt to that time when @sierranevadasplitboarding whipped out a test pit on this sun baked rollover that was so steep, we couldn't see what we were about to drop into. Just making sure we were safe to shred one of the most memorable faces I've ever snowboarded. Quite the view. Alaska rocks.
Last year I was so stressed about this climb that my climbing partner Tom tried to get me to lead it by promising me a quick draw if I did.
With the sweet encouragement of @von.tasche and a super encouraging belay from @gnarcissistcasey I finally enjoyed Sweating Bullets (5.10+).
Tom, guess we gotta climb together and get that draw.
Sometimes when the trail itself isn’t so clear, you’ve just got to look to the horizon and follow the cairns.
I’m feeling thankful this morning to have found myself in the outdoors and developed a bond with nature throughout the past six years. I’ve learned some fundamental lessons about life and about setting goals and evaluating consequences and life choices through my relationship with the earth. I’ve felt empowered and humbled and scared and excited, and am working each day to take these lessons and be more real and honest with myself.

@brittanyl_m won the award for best climbing partner yesterday between her nonchalant send of Dihedral of Horror and packing the best snacks. I resigned to untangling ropes. A perfect symbiotic relationship.
“Don’t judge yourself too harshly and try not to compare your appearance or even the way you think with other people; we all have our own faults and are on our own journey to feeling
and becoming healthier. Participate in activities that bring you happiness , and don’t always
worry about setting an end goal for things such as going outdoors – sometimes, you can just
go outside for fun and enjoy the warm sun and soft grass under your feet.” -Johanna Cider

I’m definitely enjoying today’s recovery day! Especially after yesterday’s hike up Mt Rose (which I FINALLY did, after all these years), followed by swimming in #laketahoe and #mountainbiking with the @tahoemtbgirls!
Thanks @tmaryw for the #multisport day and for peeping on all those wildflowers! Seeing and smelling the rare Woody Fruited Evening Primrose was such a treat! ❤️👭🌸🌼🌺⛰🏖🚵🏻♀️

What are you doing this September? Have you been looking for a community that is supportive, thoughtful and all about fun?
Wild and Weightless and rock climbing guides @she_movesmountains collaborate to inspire positive body image through a empowering outdoor experience, where participants can celebrate their bodies for all that they can do, rather than what they look like!
This outdoor experience aims to build compassionate relationships with our bodies through time spent outside, challenging ourselves in healthy ways, and offering space to confront the myths we have created about our bodies.
She Moves Mountains AMGA Single Pitch Instructors will provide two days of rock climbing outdoors at Smith Rock State Park, OR. Alongside body centered therapeutic workshops guided by Kristen Ales (that’s me) who holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with emphasis in Wilderness Therapy.
