Not the result I was looking for competing at the inaugural Dublin IBJJF Open. I always have the highest expectations for myself and I'll never be fully satisfied with anything less than the gold. It's tough to keep losing finals after dominating every fight previously. Back to the grind..... and maybe time to seek some sports psychology advice 😂😂😂 Well done everyone who competed and showed up, I always say, it takes more balls than 95% of humans have to even step up the plate at all and it's amazing to see the biggest BJJ federation in the world finally recognizing Ireland as a hub of jiu jitsu and giving us a chance to grow the sport here.
Thanks to my coaches Jorge Santos Bjj and Laura PT as well as all my team mates for helping me grow my technique and skill and being super supportive and always having advice to put in my head!
I finished @dan.slott ‘s Silver Surfer run and I have to say it’s my favorite run from it. It’s full of heart and adventure. It’s honestly a timeless story that I truly enjoyed. From the romance between Dawn and Surfer to the almost magic-like cosmic adventures, the comic had my complete attention. I spent my entire weekend reading this comic and I do not regret it. Mike Allred did an amazing job on the art and proved that he is honestly the modern day Jack Kirby. This book honestly gave me an appreciation for both the Silver Surfer and the cosmic side of Marvel. I have to say my favorite thing about this book was the fact that it was truly an adventure story from start to finish. It was amazing seeing through characters traverse the Marvel Universe. The ending of the book was great. It was bittersweet but also heartwarming. It definitely had me feeling good by the end. I recommend this book to anyone that just wants a nice timeless story. It doesn’t worry about the next marvel event or whatever. It just goes from one adventure to the next while changing our characters for the better. A solid 9/10 for me.
