Quem leu, gostou?
Thanks @sofestofbooks for the chance to meet amazing authors and get signed books! 📖💜📖💜📖💜 Thanks to @kathryn5031 for coming with me, holding my place in line, and helping me getting books signed. You're the best mom! 😊😊😊 #books#signedbooks#bookfestival
I recently went to @strandbookstore and got a bunch of signed books😍 This is one of my most anticipated releases of this month and I can't wait to read it!! Keep a lookout on my Booktube: CarolynMarieReads for hauls, reviews, wrap ups, and so much more✨
After the phenomenal success of The Book Thief, author @markuszusak returns with his long awaited new novel. Bridge of Clay is an existential riddle and a search for redemption. This tale of five brothers coming of age in a house with no rules brims with energy, joy and pathos. Written in Markus Zusak’s distinctive style, it is a tour de force from a master storyteller of the heart.
This stunning hardback is an independent bookshop exclusive edition that is signed by the author and also contains stickers inside. Another great reason to choose independent bookshops! 😉
Happy #socksunday ! I had a fantastic day yesterday at the Guildford Book Festival at their Reader's Day with the lovely @lovedreadingthis! Lots of great authors in conversation with Fanny Blake. All very lovely people, happy to chat and sign books. These are the books I had signed and I'm looking forward to reading each and every one.
Hope you've had a good weekend too! Got a busy week planned with lots more bookish fun! Can't wait!
Hi @themystic.box my name is Judy. I live in New Mexico, USA🇺🇸. I'm single & happy😊. I'm a mom of six really handsome & beautiful children💙❤. Yes you read that right six children, five boys & one girl. They are my heart, but I have to say that my four grandchildren own my heart & soul❤💙. All of my kids except for two are grown & on their own. Yes a very big family we are. So reading is a very big part of my life. Its how I run away from reality😉. The pictures in my collage are from my first Mystic Box😍. I don't have a lot of followers but I do love to post what I'm reading or the unveiling of boxes I receive. That is why I think I would make an excellent rep. & I really would love to have this opportunity. Thank you for the chance.☆💕☆💕
I went to Guildford Book Festival yesterday (in case you missed my stories!) It was lovely to meet Clair @always_need_more_books and we both agreed it was a great day.
We saw some brilliant female authors speak and without exception all the talks and readings were interesting, engaging and entertaining.
I bought 2 books - Anatomy of A Scandal and Dear Mrs Bird, both had been on my radar a while and having heard the authors speak I’m even more excited to read them. I also got my copy off The Lido signed.
Enjoy your Sunday folks, after a terrific day out yesterday I am off to work!
I danced for much of my young life, but I was also a soccer goalie, and the muscles and curves of my body often made me feel out of place alongside the barre, with all the lithe tall girls around me perfectly poised for a life of ballet. It took me several years to fall in love with the strength my muscled legs gave me, to embrace my natural curves. It always hit me in a very personal place to read about the stage in Copeland’s life when she hit puberty late, and her newfound curves threatened her entire dancing career. When she persevered to face down all the standard ballerina beauty conventions—both in body shape and in skin color—to become the first ever African-American principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre—while also battling a late start, anxiety, family drama, and more. Meeting her on her tour for the paperback edition of Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina was a true honor, and I love that she signed all of her books in gold.
Signed Saturdays is a weekly series at While Reading and Walking. I’m an avid book collector, and have been lucky enough to meet many of my favorite authors over the years. Each Saturday, I’ll celebrate and tell the story of one of my signed books. Feel free to join in at #SignedSaturdays .
Today was long and exhausting. We went to #BostonBookFest for the first time. We were only able to get to a few panels and signings, but they were all fantastic. We saw a horror panel (which was in an old church) and got our Dacre Stoker books (Dracula the Undead and Dracul) signed and I bought a copy of The Hunger by Alma Katsu and had it signed. Then we went to a YA panel about science fiction and Sarah met Sasha Alsberg and got her copy of Zenith signed. I took Regina to a Science in Comics workshop with Maris Wicks and we were able to get her copy of Human Body Theater signed. She was really excited to meet her because she wants to make comics when she grows up. Also, I want to live in the Boston Public Library.
The Complete Walker by #colinfletcher , this copy signed by the #backpacking pioneer himself, was the catalyst for I-don’t-know-how-many-miles of hiking joy and beauty in my life —and in the lives of countless people. I never met Colin, but I corresponded with him for years —and scouted books for him. Tragically he passed away due to complications from being hit by a truck mirror as he walked to a Sierra Club meeting in Carmel Valley. Thank you Colin Fletcher for your body of work...you are missed. #manwhowalkedthroughtime#california#deathvalley#author#signedbooks#walking#carmelvalley
