My early Sunday morning workouts where the world is still and quiet is where I make my deepest connections and insights for my teaching practice. What I love most about the Pilates Method is that it provides a solid framework of which I never tire exploring and evolving within, so I can be a better communicator of movement and how to utilize movement to restore good health for all those seeking it.
The facial expressions on @blessed.blonde.bombmom and @le_salon_cache are priceless.
Side splits for the win. Leg move? Absolutely. But it can also be considered a full body move as it requires so much balance and strength from all of the surrounding muscles.
Another reason why Pilates is simply awesome 😎 -

socks, slippy floors and side splits 🖤 |
getting there... need a little more flexibility in those hamstrings and hip flexors... •
It would also be helpful to remember to breath. I have a bad habit of holding my breath in intense stretches (much like I do when I ski bumps 🙈⛷ ~ a work in progress) which causes muscles to tense... not ideal when you’re trying to do centre splits 🤸♀️
I have reached to the Day 100 of my fitness journey.. and I have alot to share with everyone about the prodigious voyage which led to many discoveries physically, mentally, breaking all boundaries resulting to infinite victories alhumdullilah!! The goal was to present the best version of me, physically, mentally, spiritually and much more..
I had also made few list of exercises that I will present after 100 days if I accomplish the same, but I am presenting only 1 side split video today (more videos coming soon) as this shows my unseen efforts, patience, pain throughout this sustainable journey. There were days when I was wanting to give up and go into the mode of depression but with every failure u evolve better. If u get tired u can rest but don't quit.
I have achieved the much required consistency which is key to the door of success in any area of life.. that will led to further progress for sure in future and the journey continues further insha Allah..let's not stop!
This morning before gym I wanted to check that my middle splits were still easy enough to get into. With zero warm up I don’t think this was a bad result 👍🏻 Now if only my hamstrings still didn’t hurt during front splits I’d be able to start working on them again 😕 Oh & I didn’t get my gym workout in because my trainer told me I was too sick 🤒 I hope it’s just a cold 🤞🏻 #yoga#splits#middlesplits#straddlesplits#sidesplits
